I always try to have at least two rods out both with a pompano rig.on each. One rod close and the other out further. I use fishbites in sand flea and shrimp flavor and will also use live sandfleas. If you wanna target bull reds catch a lady fish and cut off 1 inch chuncks and use for bait, but make sure you have some stouter gear for bulls from the beach like 30-40 pound mono leader and a good circle hook. @TheLawlessTide5 жыл бұрын
I would concentrate on the surf. Catch some fresh ladyfish or hardtails and cut them into 2 to 4 inch chunks. That will give you your best chance for the greatest quantity of sharks.

Early morning and evening are fine to fish but if you want to fish all day you will have to search out more secluded beach areas. But this time of year he bite usually drops off after it gets to the hot part of the day so maybe stick to early morning and eveniing or night so you dont have to deal with a crowded beach.

I would spoil it up with a minimum of 40lb braid. If you can you might see about a longer rod so you can cast farther in the surf. If you are using cut bait for sharks I would go with a 4-8 shock leader of 60-100lb mono with a 12” wire bite leader connected to a circle hook.
