The Electric Vehicle (EV) revolution seems to be genuinely upon us. Consumer demand remained strong throughout 2020 even in the face of a global pandemic and the absence of a federal EV tax credit. More recently, the Whitehouse has signaled positively on many fronts towards supporting this growth, perhaps most importantly by moving the federal procurement system to 100 percent clean energy and zero-emissions vehicles; mirroring a move that Norway made years ago, that has resulted in positioning them as the global leader in EV adoption and sales penetration.
Even with these strong headwinds, catalyzing an EV revolution in the US will not be without myriad challenges. To that end we have assembled a panel of domain experts to discuss a roadmap for electrifying our federal, municipal, corporate et al. fleets as the next step towards widescale EV adoption. We’ll dig into vehicular platforms and scalability, infrastructure hurdles and the financing innovation needed to realize these goals, among other topics.
