Some 40 yrs ago, that glacier came almost right to the road and if it was calving, the waves washed huge iceblocks onto the road which actually blocked traffic.

Thanks for another great video Dustin! Now that I'm a supporter, it makes me feel good to know that I can at least help a little to keep your great videos coming. Even my wife makes me wait to watch till we can see them together! By the way, the custom built, elevated, Gnarly Davidson race track looked like a total blast Dude! BTW, how could anyone possibly give this video a thumbs down? Seems some folks have waaay too much time to sit in their easy chair and criticise every last little detail. Loosen up a bit people, and just enjoy!!! 😃

I truly appreciated all of your work and time you put into your videos. We have had a real bummer of a Summer here in Montana with fires and smoke, one of the worst fire seasons I have experienced. @Destination Adventure - Hey Dustin, I really enjoyed watching this. Excellent film work and production. I was in my mid-20's working up there in the late 1980's early 1990's at the Premier Mine. Wild, wild times man. Hyderization would've done my liver in if I hadn't gotten out when I did. I'm guessing that was the Bear Glacier you stopped to film on the way in (?) If so, to give you an idea of how much (and rapidly) the climate has changed, when I first drove by in 1989, what I saw was a MASSIVE wall of ice across a much narrower lake with the glacier completely filling the valley up behind it. One of the long time residents of Stewart later told me that 20 years before then, there was no lake and that the highway pretty much ran along the foot of that same wall of ice. It's a tad bit alarming. I cannnot frickin' believe how much the Salmon Glacier that you flew over has retreated....
