She was killed when she tried to shut downt the exo program before the events that happen in the video. Here’s the excerpt from destinypedia, None of his pleadings moved Elsie, who remained committed to ending the threat of the Vex, causing Clovis to activate his ship Hannu II's weapons and strike her down from orbit. Elsie was killed and her paracausal weapon was destroyed by the attack.

The Banshee we know isn't the same. His 43rd reset feebled his mind and stripped him of his memories of 44 lives as Clovis. I'm curious as to what necessitated the multiple resets or if any of them were exobody replacements due to physical damage since clovis/banshee isn't arisen and doesn't respawn with a ghost. Either way, his k/d has got to be insane.

As the battle concludes, the look out at the newly constructed graveyard of Vex, only to see the weaponsmith walking away, the lament over his shoulder. He can feel it surging through his circuits one again - his past. He remembers. And this time, he'll never forget, not while that blade still screams the name and number of the immortal Banshee-44...

rasputin probably knows about the dsc since he is a bray creation, he's sentient, and he holds secrets from the golden age. there arent more deep stone crypts but there are alternate "creations" (creation is the place where exos are created, it's the main exo facility due to having direct connection to clarity control) where exos are created, so europa isn't the only place where exos are born, the other places are only alternative because they're far away from clarity control and have no quick method of acquiring alkahest.

The journal of Clovis Bray shows a line that said Elsie had been rejected 40-50 times (idr the exact number) so its implied that she's been reset 40+ times, which brings into question her sanity.

One presumes, since at the time they were dealing with uncompromised equipment and the only time pressure was Clovis' need to test the process on her for his own benefit, with each rejection they started over with her original personality image. So she hasn't been reset that many times. Now we don't know how many times she was rebooted during the final battle to close the gateway. Banshee we know was reset 43 times. Some Exos were lost because the memory banks overheated trying to keep up with the flood of backup memories being generated and processed.

Watching this just made me realize that the two most infamous slayers of the Vex are just chilling in the tower (Banshee-44 and Saint-14). I have a theory that Banshee’s memory issues could be because Elsie left Clovis-43’s entire mind still on his exo, just blocked off in case she ever needed him. And now the exomind is struggling to handle 2 entirely unique personalities at the same time. His memory loss used to be explain by the degrading memories of exos, but we now know that this was a lie made up so Clovis could remove memories he didn’t want exos to have.

@@ChaosAtlantis33 they do not. The memory degradation was made up by Clovis so he could explain away gaps in Exos memories when he removed something they weren’t supposed to know. The reboot process is actually quite effective. If we were to believe that Banshee’s memory issues were a result of the large number of reboots, then we’d have to assume that literally all of the damage to his exomind came in the last reboot, because the lore seems to suggest that none of his 42 other reboots affected him in any way. His memory issues are unique only to his final reboot, which is why I have come to this theory. There is also some lore evidence to suggest that Dissociative Exomind Rejections (DER), which is the degenerative process by which exos go max as their mind rejects the mechanical form, thus requiring a reboot to resolve, was actually made up as well. Supposedly it was used as an excuse for Clovis to wipe any Exo’s mind at any time we wanted; again, whenever they learned something they weren’t supposed to.

Man this story was really good, I kinda got choked up when he went to wipe his memory kinda reminded me of terminator 2 at the end "there is one more chip " pointing to his head. "And it must be destroyed also." It is amazing to me how powerful the lore makes banshee and Elsie look and feel. Then you come to present day and realize that our guardian wields both of their weapons! It really shows how true the unstoppable our force is!! AMAZING WORK LORE TEAM!!!!!

Byf I don't know if you will ever see this, (I'd appreciate a reply lol) but you are a very important pillar to the destiny community and with all due respect you owe us nothing!!! I'm sure all of us have much more fun viewing the content that you have a genuine blast creating ( it kinda leaks out during the recording p.s I love it though) if you don't feel up to it all of us can understand a break for sure I just don't want these lore vids to stop I introduced my friend to your channel recently with the thorn last word vid, and he watched it three times to fully get the gist of the story as he was so blown away by the video all I'm saying is thanks!!!
