i just want to point out we have seen savathun be rezzed by her ghost already, In the Boss fight against her she is killed but before we can get to immaru we get slowed down by her magic

She's been rezzed by her ghost several times in Witch Queen so there is no reason why she can't be rezzed. We have Savathun's body and other than dissecting it, it's perfectly rezzable. Unless Xivu Arath steals Savathun's body and the season is stealing the body back, then rezzing Savathun should be the easy part.

I'm gonna take a wild swing and say we're gonna use memories and the future/past to get into the portal and prevent the final shape. Given that Hive Guardians have memories in their 'death' we can go into the mindscape and talk to Savathun, or a past version of her. Thus getting her help before she even dies at our hand.

It’s been years since I’ve last heard the lore card about the guardian being trapped in time, but at the time it didn’t make too much sense to me. Now I do have a theory though about how ghosts resurrect us. I believe that ghosts use a portion of their power to pull a part of us out of the time valley in the traveler. Ghosts are able to revive a guardian as their former self even thousands of years after their death, if the final shape is a recollection of all life and memory of the universe like some theories say; then i see it as a possibility that ghosts access or atleast partially access this area to gain a imprint of the guardian for resurrection. I can’t wait to eventually get answers about the nature of light and dark, who the winnower and Gardner actually are, the origins of paracauality, and the nine. Sadly I don’t think that will be final shape will answer any of these satisfyingly.

I'm a much bigger fan of the interpretation that Savathun did not plan to die in Witch Queen, with the danger instead coming from her ability to improvise and twist situations to her advantage. After all, her not knowing everything was what made Witch Queen such an enjoyable narrative in my opinion. Making it so that she always planned to die in her gambit for the Traveler is just lame.

Plus it's a sentiment that likes to pretend that Savathun's plans always work, they don't. Pretty much everything from Shadowkeep through to Splicer was just Savathun coming up with a scheme, that scheme failing (spectacularly in the case of Arrivals and Splicer) and her being pushed further onto the backfoot because of it.

Her whole scheme hinged on dying on that cliff and waiting for the outcome of a divine coin toss, she knew it was a fifty-fifty shot and in the event that she wasn't deemed worthy she probably set up some contingincies because there was no way that someone wasn't going to stumble upon her body in that senario. What tripped her up in the end was a combination of arrogance and pure random chance because we never would have been able to figure any of this out if it weren't for Fynch.

Ever since the Lightfall campaign, I am convinced that Ghost resurrection also involves Darkness to some extent; this may be an additional complicating factor in regards to resurrecting Savathun.

Savathun is not beholden to the sword logic, therefore there isn't any danger in resurrection. She is standing in direct opposition to The Witness and it's goals. In the campaign, it is blatantly obvious that she earnest about "switching sides" in order to protect the Traveler, especially when she warns us, with her dying breath might I add, about The Witness's arrival and that it is "our game to play". Being cautious isn't out of the question, but I wouldn't say there are dangers. We put her down once, we can do it again with Saint's help.

We should've gotten a quest with it. In the Dark Future, we go there to get the Light suppressing technology to find the Traveler and drag it back to our system. And back in Chosen, we never found out how the rogue Psions has that technology. The potential of using that connection to make a quest and finding the trapped Guardian for an Exotic was wasted entirely and there wasn't even a payoff anywhere to validate it. Unless we're doing that to trap Immaru in the near future, I feel like it's not even going to happen at all.

While you always have to be careful with Savathun, I think it's been proven more than a few times that she's not infallible. The very fact she was blind-sided by the revelations gained from using Deep Sight on the Honest Worm is proof of that. She could have done similar to the thing her self and never thought to do so. She was also surprised when we defeated Quria and probably had to speed up her own plans by giving herself to Mara as soon as she did.

I do think that Savathun is a being that we definitely cannot predict and that being that she manipulated us at every turn would not surprise me to learn that she had a contingency plan for this as well. Of course this is a very broad thought but I think Savathun definitely would have had some sort of plan in the case of her "death"

I'm so disappointed there wasn't a time during Season of the Chosen or sometime close where we had an exotic quest going back to the wreckage of the Almighty to figure out how some of the renegade Psions got Light suppressing technology, especially since the Almighty wreckage is where we got it in the Dark Future timeline, and we find the Guardian trapped in time and obviously make an Exotic from them/the scenario as we always do. the fact that eris tampered with savathun's body could have exposed her to something or maybe slaving the crown of sorrows to her creates an opening for savathun to exploit. if we end up getting to see eris and drifter together in the canon, something happening to eris could involve drifter more than he'd like.

When you sit down and rethink it, Savathun doesn't know anything about her past life as she needed us to remind her of her grand scheme (Witch queen campaign), so there's no guarantee that she would know anything to begin with unless we do the ol deep sight trick on some ruins or things she had.

Resurrecting Savathun is a great thing. "If" (I say this because bungies new narrative team, the former Square Enix rejects, have yet to give us ANY good storylines as of yet) we learned anything from Season of the Hunt we can just put a failsafe/explosive inside Immaru's shell. Like Spyder did with Uldren/Glint. Then we either have complete control of Savathun, or she risks being dead forever. Both outcomes serve us well.

Speaking of death Can someone talk about the suspicious warlock blue gear description in D1 about wondering where guardians go after their first original death as humans but before their first resurrection as guardian Saying something like “maybe we were someplace good yknow and then the ghosts took us away” What if that place is inside the traveller and this is what it means to be “chosen” Like the travellers inner realm holds chosen souls or something from humans (potential guardians) with redeeming qualities It shows that they clearly thought about some sort of void afterlife even back in D1 Another mystery I’m curious about too is, what ever happened to the speakers ghost, no one ever talks about it or where it went

I think we have a hint in the Final Shape trailer on how exactly resurrection works. I assume the Rift the Witness in the traveler leads to the landscape seen in the Final Shape trailer with Cayde-6. Even dead Guardians don't truly die, they just return to this landscape permanently. Ghosts check this (likely paracausal) area for their Guardian and pull them back.

The way I see it, Savathun could change her alignment from “neutral wild card out for herself and her faction/brood” to, “reluctant ally seeking redemption”. The problem is, while we could have another “Crow vs Uldren situation” on our hands. A risen Lightbearer seeking a purpose and redemption for a past life of atrocities, like Crow, we remember the terrible things Savathun had done. Problem is, Savathun is infamous as a “Queen of Lies”. Seemingly no one will give her a second chance, not even like Crow had. Because, how can you trust someone to give them a second chance, when all they seem to do, is lie? All she’s ever done is put herself first. She’s not willing to “lay down on the wire and let the other guy crawl over you”. Quoting Cap America btw. But, maybe she’ll prove herself. She may, if we can hold Osiris back from unraveling Immaru and pulling by Savathun apart on her last life. Many of us would rather forcefully take the information from her and give her a final death if we could. But, she may have spells to make her immune from the powers of Deepsight and Strand. If this comes to be the case, the Coalition may have to decide her fate after the war with the Witness is ended, if she doesn’t die before, or during Final Shape. You could ask: “how could you keep a Hive God like her restrained long enough to put her on trial”? The City’s Gutdians have lived longer than her and her Brood, we have many means, artifacts, weapons, and techniques, to kill Guardians. The entire Coalition as a whole does. The Lucent Brood would even find a hard time assaulting the City to rescue Savathun, when you consider the Coalition, and how impregnable it’s been to past attacks. I can see Savathun meeting one of two fates: 1. Exile, self imposed, with her Brood, to seek peace and a safe haven beyond Sol, or imposed upon her by us as her sentence, as the Coalition could threaten to kill her and her entire brood. Permanently, as the Warlords were cut down and purged during the Dark Age. 2. She’s killed at some point. 3. She and her brood prove themselves, changing their forms to resemble the Guardians less, and become more independent and autonomous, becoming proven allies of the Coalition after redeeming themselves. Time will tell what the future holds for Savathun and her Lucent Hive.

I personally suspect if the lucent brood join our side one way or another, them being hive is going to pose a huge cultural issue even more than the fallen. I could see them having to live out in most bottom layers of the walls. Also suspect many of lucent brood is quite prideful of their heritage and who they are. I see many arguments and fights over what to do with them. I honestly hope they join as the reluctant heros in the final shape. I'm also interested to see how hive lightbears would get along with gaurdians if they worked together. Also, I suspect the cabal will be the hardest to convince to work with the lucent brood. As they lost their home to the hive.

Ever since ive understand more from savathun, I've learned to take every action she does with a grain of salt. Her being the lightbearing hive god of deception, she wouldn't have let us killed her so easily if we're only just to make her remember her past, she's been watching our actions before Witch queen, probably since the day we've killed her brother oryx in his own realm and not taken the throne. While as Osiris she said she wouldn't underestimate us before we destroyed Quiria, blade transformed, which by our knowledge was one of the only taken to still have somewhat of it's original will to act on it's own. Getting sidetracked but point being, Savathun seen what we've done and has been watching up until before she died the first time and resurrected as the first hive lightbearer, she wouldn't have tried to fight us unless she had a contingency for when needed, and this may be it next season. I don't know about you, but I've learned well enough from her to not be around her unless i have my Gjallerhorn with me, even if she we're shackled and locked in a cell.

Do we know if the time trapped guardian on the almighty has been resurrected. Assuming his ghost has not been destroyed, when Rasputin shot the almighty down I would assume the time trap would be destroyed / broken and should be able to be rezed

i just really hope the resurrection part doesnt get dragged out through a whole season. We rez her week 1 and after that we can actually continue the story from there. If Immaru can talk to us through comms while in the throne world theres no reason we cant do the same and just tell him hey we will let u rez her if u guys work with us.

i still believe that frozen guardian is now revivable because as Rasputin destroyed the Almighty he also would have annihilated the trapped guardian and the trap along with it especially with that bonkers explosion at the end.

Savathun was shown to be resurrected by Immaru multiple times during the Witch queen campaign, quick and easy, just like guardians. I believe Season 22 will be more about finding where Immaru is that worrying about how to resurrect her.

I'd like to think that the Guardian is in the wreckage due to the trap still being intact so there's hope he can once again be free. The only issue with that is by that ship crashing, the button or switch used to disable the trap would most likely no longer be where it was when he originally got stuck and was going for the release switch. If he's aware of what's happening around him which I doubt he could in that state, would he know that the switch is broken or in another place? It's really trippy to think about.

The Ghost should enter the tap himself. he would experience time with his guardian, and wouldnt have to wait 50 thousand years. that being said, what horror.

I think savathun is already rezzed and hiding. From my understanding it dont take to much for a ghost to rez. She is smart and most likely left behind some of her self in her throne for immaru to do so. Now she is waiting for us to beg, trick, or desperate to help us destroy the witness. But then again if we destroy the witness who's to say it wont trigger the final shape like a booby trap and thats what comes after final shape is clearing that up? What ever IT might be....

I have a theory what is stopping savathun from reviving as her original krill form? Hear me out when we die we choose when to revive sometimes like in the open world. In that time we can change our armor and our powers we invoke our will on our revive. So what is stopping her from doing the same like yeah she can keep some of her powers but she would probably look like Eris in her original krill form and they could explain this as her being the oldest one left she still has memories "thanks to us" of her original form the hive guardians we fight and kill one can't because we kill the ghosts and 2 r to young to know what a krill form looks like because all they have known is the hive I think it would be cool and would cement that she has taken a completely different path from the witness what do u guys think?

The one bad thing in my mind in terms of savathun's resurrection, is that bungie might be deliberately, just using her as a hype or an excitement for a plot point, then when she wakes up, savathun herself doesn't even know how to get where the witness went through.

When it comes to the guardian stuck in the time bubble why don't they use arc energy on him to kill him? 50,000 years is roughly. 0.79 light years and assuming thats how fast our arc bolts move its a better bet then waiting for him to turn off the machine

I believe that's how the Guardian Shin Malphur got his Ghost if I'm not mistaken. Another legendary guardian who was hunting Guardians being corrupted by the Thorn hunger. That Guardian died and his protégé got his ghost. My explanation is not doing this story any justice but Byf has some amazing videos on those Guardians you should check out. If you watch them all its like a movie.
