I JUST realized The Harvester from Haunted functions a fair bit like a tormentors Scythe… Which leaves me surprised that Nightmares never were involved in Lightfall despite Nezerac reviving. It’s like season of the sereph where we never got to use the Valkyrie despite returning to mars and assembling Rasputin.

nIghtmares are the defense mechanism of his Pyramid.. Its why they were never involved.

@@itsharibonph Fair enough BUT, as a counterpoint… There ARE Nightmare’s scattered across Nessus and the EDZ in various lost sectors, showing that the CAN exist beyond The Moon. They should have _at least_ been present in the raid, and it would have made a nifty excuse to have ALL current factions as enemies in a single raid for the first time. Even if said nightmares were to have been little more then majors and cannon fodder.

Quit misattributing leitmotifs to a character who isn't part of the faction. Both he and Rhulk are Dreads they both have a distinct motif vs Cabal. Say that again when you hear Rhulk and the faction is taken and scorn. He doesn't share motifs with them

It has story elements too , what I get from it is the guardians getting hope to take down nezzy then overtaken by darkness when damage phase is over and there a part where you feel like your being hunted by nezzy , just so Many good story elements

Nez isn’t hunting us. It’s more of the opposite. He’s welcomed us like rhulk to challenge him. Rhulk didn’t expect us to reach him tho. Nez wanted us to. For example as you walk into the explicators chamber he says “tear that worthless sack of meat apart for me will you, he hasn’t accomplished near as much as you in your short time here” not even nez wants the shadow legion. After he asks to be freed so he can use this new power being the light. This is his weakness his downfall. Trying to use darkness and light at the same time allows us safety from his wipe mechanic. It also is what allows us to damage him.

I don’t think either of them were really the Witness’s right hand man. To me it just seems like the Witness just uses his disciples to fulfill its purposes. While Oryx, Rhulk and Nezarec all had an audience with the Witness, they all served different purposes. Oryx exterminated much of the life in the universe, Nezarec spread fear and terror and sowed chaos (likely a lot of extermination as well since he lead the collapse), while Rhulk subjugated the worms and used them to the Witness’s advantage. As far as I’m concerned they’re all pawns

Rhulk definitely of any was it. He served the witness and would do anything to benefit it. Even risk his own life to fulfil the witnesses plans
