I was struggling in a Legend Lost Sector, so I tried out Ticuu's for the first time in...years, probably. And...wow. I was blown away at how good it was. It got me the flawless completion I needed pretty handily.

The main problem with Ticuu's for me is that it doesn't synergize with Solar 3.0. It would be really nice if it applied scorch.

Instead of using oathkeepers, there's a trick you can do with bows to constantly instantly re-draw them and always have that perfect draw. You press reload to cancel the draw and then immediately hold fire.

The nice thing about Trinity is that with PvE you only really need the first precision kill to start the arc spread. After that you can literally shoot at the ground next to ads to cause damage and it recharges if you get a kill.

Yes! I have over 83K kills on mine (pve only). It's nice going up against hydras becasue you can just ignore those rotating shields. Since it was the only weapon that seemed to hit decently at the beginning of Lightfall, it's become my main weapon.

Hierarchy of Needs is SO slept on, it carried me through the Legendary Lightfall campaign. The damage you get with the rings and the increased draw speed from the catalyst just lets you tear through enemies from a distance.

I forgot to point out. You said a perfect draw hit I any guardian would get a kill in pvp. It's got to be a precision hit after marking them. You can still get a explosion, it just won't do enough to kill. With verglas curve, if you kill a orange bar or "tougher" enemy with it, you get two hail barrage arrows. And you can kinda chain hail barrages if you're also shattering frozen enemies with the bow. Admittedly, this can be inconsistent with how many arrows you get back. I have gotten barrage x4 quite a bit from shattering with one arrow. My go-to exotic bow in both pvp and pve is wish-ender. It's not an add-clear monster, but it's an infinite ammo aggressive frame sniper with intrinsic anti-barrier in pve. In pvp, true-sight can secure you and your team mates some team shots that you know leave the enemy going, "wtf just killed me that quick?" And "I was nearly full health! Wtf?" As a bonus, overshields are just pretty glow effects. Kinetic dexterity and judgement of kelgorath with swap mag. A lightning fast and lethal swap shot without the need for exotics like ophidians. I'm a pvp player and "the bow guy" in my friend group. 😅

I didn't include Wishender due to it being tied to a Dungeon, and new players may find it difficult to obtain. It's hard for me to use wishender, witherhoard wrecks, and goes through most shields. I'm surprised it hasn't been nerfed yet.

@@zanomicsgaming I'm sure you know, but wish ender does extra damage to anything someone shoots with witherhoard due to its anti-taken fletching. If you are a bow guy, get wish ender. I got it back in forsaken and it's the one weapon that never leaves my inventory. It shines best in hard content. Grandmaster nightfall, raids, legendary lost sectors... Where most primary ammo weapons feel like you're giving even the weakest of enemies a gentle caress, this thing slaps.

Solid video covering the Elemental Exotic Bows! First video I've seen from you. Some notable things about each Bow: - Trinity Ghoul has a really cool synergy inside of PVP with Cascade Point and the 3 arrow hit. Hitting a 3 arrow headshot turns your Cascade Point weapon into what is essentially the Tarrabah empowered mode. Incredibly fun combo and the lightning storm is a huge power moment if you finish someone off with Arc Damage - Ticcu's hip-fired arrows can clear most of the annoying hazards in one shot, like if there's a modifier in PVE for Fallen electric mine. Quite fun for the current Glassway Nightfall + Solar Surge - Le Monarche poison seemingly applies Vorpal Round procs on the poison DoT effect. Haven't done any rigorous testing around the Vorpal + Poison interaction, but it's seemingly significant especially when you need to damage through chunkier targets which don't have an easy precision spot. Void Hunter and ESPECIALLY Gyrfalcon's Void Hunter abuse it the most with Devour, Invisibility Refresh, your Catalyst Health Recovery, Vorpal Rounds from the Void synergy, etc

I was not aware of the synergy with cascade point, but Le Monarque is still my preferred bow for pvp. Ticuu is in a tough spot due to it not synergizing with solar 3.0. I don't believe they can make it synergize with solar 3.0. This bow would rise to the top, and it would be broken with the amount of ignitions this bow would create. I think they developed this bow before Bungie ever thought of creating 3.0 subclasses.

Lemon Arc is already my favourite bow and with easy access to Volatile Rounds this season it isn't even close. I think the only thing holding Verglas back is the fact that Stasis is probably the weakest subclass in the game. Stasis really needs some love. With some subclass buffs I could see Verglas become top tier. If only Stasis shards could give you Armour Charge. And hopefully Ticuu's gets some Solar synergy in the future.

Veriglass Curve, just using hipfire, can clear ads SO fast. It's my fastest clear of Shuro Chi by far. It's really the ice explosions that clear, but every other kill is a frozen enemy that explodes. It's sick

Before the catalyst i found it really slow to use but after it did make it much better. i’d say this is really an ad clear bow more of a Ticcu’s than the others, although i’m not using it much after as le monarque and wishender just do so much more for me.

It's been a while since I used either Ticuu's or Trinity Ghoul, as my add-clearing needs have been largely fulfilled by abilities, but when I did use them, I preferred Ticuu's over Trinity. While Trinity has the edge in red-bar clearing, particularly panic-red bar clearing ;-), I found that its damage against anything above that--even orange bars, left a little to be desired. I was doing a lot less difficult content back then, so I have to wonder how it does in today's content in comparison. (But it sounds like this might not be an issue when the difficulty changes go in shortly.) Ticuu's I found to be a more balanced-use bow, dealing good damage against majors. The seeking arrows is also great at plinking lots of red bars from WAY out. And frankly, while both could benefit from Light 3.0 synergies, the lack of that isn't a deal-breaker.

Verglas can refresh frozen shots by breaking crystals. It works like trinity ghoul. Any kill caused with the crystal counts as the weapon kill and refreshes them.

I want to say I think the worst one is probably Verglas and it's not even bad or mediocre, I gave it a shot earlier and it done so well, it's a real contender for a go-to stasis primary for almost any build I could think of. But DAMN the others are simply monstrous. Trinity Ghoul is the bane of adds, it's so good it's used by speedrunners who have to deal with trash enemies cause it's so easy and potent. Hierarchy of needs is one of, if not, the single strongest DPS primary in the game which is also amazing at add clear and given its range and safe nature, is great in any endgame content with dangerous enemies. Little needs to be said about ticuu's, 3 or 4 hip fire shots followed by one ADS is like Chinese New Year. Le Monarque has the intrinsic overload, the poison, the void synergy with things like Gyrfalcons, the AoE, it's just such a solid exotic. Wish-ender is taking Arbalest's job, for what it lacks in DPS, it makes up for in spades with infinite ammo and wallhacks, invaluable in highly lethal content, especially ones which disable radar. Leviathan's breath is with the most recent nerfs to LFRs and its own buffs, a raw damage monster once the catalyst is equipped. The worst thing about this weapon is the catalyst grind but once it's obtained, it will let you hit super high boss damage with ease. Bows are the most consistently strong exotic weapon choice in the game which is funny when this time last year, only 5 existed and of them, only 3 were used and now, all 7 are easily in the A or S tier for their respective purposes.

Amazing write-up! Thanks for watching! Some bows I didn't include due to the accessibility factor for new players. LB is heavy, so I didn't think to compare it with other primaries. I will have to remember that going forward. Verglas Curve works well with Warlock and the stasis turrets. I don't feel the same potential in other classes. I like Le Monarque as the all-around king in regards to Solo end-game content and slapping people in the crucible.

Wishender is the best exotic bow in D2. It also fills the primary slot but hits much more like a special. Best barrier champion weapon and the ability to bypass any enemy shield in the game. If you haven’t tried it recently take it into a master currently.

Man I love all of the exotic bows with the exception of Verglas, which is a shame because Stasis is one of my favorite subclasses to use. Honestly there's more synergy with being able to use Wishender's + Whisper of Rending. BIG DAMAGE.

1. As somebody who uses bows in every activity. You can't beat the low level content add clearing of Trinity. (160k kills on kill tracker for my trin) Basic strikes, heroic nightfalls even. gambit. Paired with a fracthyst with trench barrel? you have red bar/yellow bar (some decent boss damage too) clearing. Trin for PVP... I don't want to mention too much on youtube about this but in momentum control trin is a beast. 2. Veriglass. "The only thing I see wrong with it" nah the thing that's the biggest drawback...it's a lightweight. The reason you have issues in pvp with it is because it's a lightweight. Lightweights are kind of trash. Faster draw time, sure. Less damage (about 10% less damage. It's actually 9 and a fraction (9.92582%)) for kinetics. (haven't done damage testing for energies yet) It's just not great overall for pvp. PVE. You have the breaking of the stasis crystals that helps increase it's dps. a 40% buff to redbars on account of being an exotic. Freezing of enemies. Outside of that, it's kind of mid. 3. Le Monarque, it's not that special in pvp. PVE it has the added benefit of being one of the best overload... anything in the game. It's an overload beast. But. PVP. It's exactly on par with every precision frame bow. (you can substitute lemon for any precision bow and get the same 2 tap. Actually I really prefer using biting winds with swash over lemon. (potential for 1 taps). But jotunn nerfs made me rethink loadouts. That and I love the hate mail when using lemon versus people who don't understand that all precision frames 2 tap. exotic or not. The poison is a minor aggravator but the damage is minimal. unrelenting is actually pretty good from the catalyst but Lemon gets unnecessary hate. Wishender I believe gets calculated as a lightweight in pvp with a heavy heavy draw time. They nerfed it a long time ago because it was 1 tapping in rifts and it has wall hacks. wishender is kind of terrible in pvp because of those drawbacks now. PVE wishender is my go to for master content. (unless there's overloads) in PVE it hits like a precision bow but hits 3+ times (+ because it's bugged in certain content like avalon where it will hit for like 9 times). Wishender actually does about close range shotgun damage. the intrinsic anti-barrier makes it even better.

I like the Verglas Curves utility. Wishender feels like a lightweight, but hits like a truck in pvp now. Le Monarque has that satisfying feel when snagging crits for me, and the poison damage makes people run. Thorn faces a similar hate because the poison affects most opponents' play style. I plan to do an in-depth part 2 video. This video was designed for all players in mind, since these bows are so easy to get.

@@zanomicsgaming What I mean is wish ender hits 1 for 1 like a lightweight damage in pvp (I haven't personally done pvp test numbers because the setup required and I don't have a second account yet. But have seen other people state this) -wise but without the added benefit of lightweight draw time. ( you can't go by impact on stats anymore. Actually impact is practically useless metric. For an example, take riskrunner versus stochastic variable to any yellowbar. Both are the same class, on paper (impact) riskrunner does more damage. In reality riskrunner does about 10% less damage. The poison for lemon is not the same as the poison damage from thorn/weapons of sorrow. Actually I have been in love with necrotics since their release. A lot of streamers are now waking up to how much they actually do overall in pve. The poison from thorn is weapons of sorrow poison. What strand was actually supposed to do before they scrapped poison ("too similar to solar burn") Though, I can still see them creating a "sorrow" subclass. Would make me happy lol. Lemon poison does not increase with time. Weapons of sorrow do. Every subsequent tick does progressively more damage than the last with weapons of sorrow. I actually used to have a 1 tap melee build warlock before the void 3.0 warlock nerf (was an absolute melee nerf) Nova warp void lock (mid branch) had the advantage of 2 bursts of damage when you hit. The damage caused would leave you with a tiny bit of health. Necrotics would do the rest. That being said, Thorn also somewhat has the same issue in pve and pvp. It's calculated the same as any adaptive 140 handcannon. Just with a little bit of poison damage and the reload perks from getting the kill. PVE it has a 40% exotic damage buff with a slight difference in damage due to poison effects. (thorn was one of the exotics I used as a test bench when I started dps testing in pve) The amount of tick damage from necrotics is different compared to thorn. meaning in PVP, thorn is also kind of mid. I'd much rather somebody use Ace and get a damage buff and 2 taps from it's exotic perk, or hawkmoon for it's 1 tap capability after headshots. Sunshot for the added burning and the added 10 rpm and explosions. Thorn just underperforms in most activities (pve and pvp) Osteo outperforms thorn in everyway during pve Necrotics overall damage from 1 melee is 44k poison + melee damage (strand melee is actually really OP for warlocks and is hitting for about 28k damage so you can get a 72k warlock melee hit (actually doing damage tests on the ogre boss from grasp from and with unraveling, 1 strand melee does 77k damage with necrotics. Meaning full 3 charges, If you time it correctly, you can get 231k damage each phase from melees alone. (unfortunately with necrotics you reset poison with each hit so if you throw 3 in quick succession and don't wait it out, you lose out on dps)

Ticuus isn't terrible on 6v6. Let's you spot all the enemies without much effort. And even if you aren't getting the kills hih trigger lots of explosions. Sometimes sa couple hip fires will finish people off. And because the first shot doesn't break the shield they usually chase you.

If you get lightning rod up trinity ghoul can oneshot a guardian in pvp if you shoot him in the head and he is standing next to someone. The lightning will chain to his friend and then back to him killing him. Also ticuu's doesnt need a full draw for the hipfire to track. For anyone wondering, the best counter against a bow is a sniper. Bow players are notorious for being grounded and just walking around corners trying to land that crit. Less experienced bow users are food for good snipers.

Worth noting with T-ghoul, you don’t even need to be using an arc subclass, the damage it does is arc, so kills with the bow give lightning rod on your next shot, which gives you lightning again. Insanely good for ad clear and I have a decent amount of success with it in crucible, pairs best with arc surge x2 and overload bow.

Oh, definitely, but with an ARC subclass, it makes it S tier depending on the combo. The bow is very strong with Liars' handshake and Arc . Pair well with the Titan as well. Knockout procs it easily and just fire from the hip. I'll have a build, most likely next season. I'm waiting on some Arc artifact mods.

Exotic bows are a hot topic said no one ever. They are in a decent place now after multiple buffs but no one needs primaries, especially exotic ones. The last two exotic bows aren't even better than Ticcu's. Curve is just a subpar bow with it's perk being a simple glacier grenade that bows are the worst at breaking. You are just wasting an exotic slot on a super headstone perk. Ticcu is still the best and most reliable bow in the game even without solar synergy. You can easily just tag with hipfire and clean up with a melee for the explosions. It definitely could use some Solar synergy but it wouldn't be more op than any other exotic as exotic primaries are way behind. Trinity Ghoul was unique but it was just replaced by Arc 3.0 in general. Jolt and voltshot do exactly what Trinity use too without an exotic slot. It just has no place outside of fun patrols. Le Monarque is my most used weapon and it's the second least useful exotic bow in PVE doing less AOE than all of them and only more single targets than Trinity. It has 1 use and it's to keep shields from regenerating when elites retreat. Le Monarque has one of the worst catalysts in the game and the innate overload is actually bugged. It is still a really fun weapon. Wish-Ender and Ticcu's are the best bows by a mile and it's not really close. Wish Ender does real damage now, and is perfect anti-barrier option. Hierachy of Needs has the potential to be good but in a 3.0 sandbox by the time you get rolling your teammates have cleared the entire screen. It is hard to recommend any weapon where you ask your teammates to slow down or hope they suck. It just can't keep up with Ticcu's and takes too long to set up. Leviathan's Breath is also one of the best heavies in the game now with great dps and ammo economy.

As a bow main I can confirm Le Menarqe is a go to bow for pvp. Anytime im fragging the enemy team with a bow everyone on the enemy team yanks out the le menarqe. 😂

Honestly I rather just play with wishender. Draw time sucks, but there is no setup and puts out relatively the same raw damage. I didn't include these bows since they are tied to dungeons. They are not easily accessible for new players.
