lol: the TX warmwater ports comment by the fake Texan was likely a russian, since 'warm water ports', and not realizing all US ports of meaningful size are warm water, ie not iced ever.

I can’t help but think of Iraq as ground zero for the place we’re in now. The establishment has lost trust, deservedly so, but the climax of this trend is a potentially terrifying thought. Resolving this division must begin with repairing trust, but instead those efforts are being spent on aimless foreign conflict and political games. The u.s. should’ve taken the role of peacemaker in Ukraine rather than death merchant. I believe history will expose this as massive mistake by America, for a long list of both domestic and geopolitical reasons, in fact dwarfing the after impacts of the Iraq war.

Yes, Iraq war had deep impacts on many other factors & relationships. How would the US (& UK & FR) have been peacemaker in Ukr "rather than death merchant", ie supplying weapons and advice for Ukr to defend itself??? The US tried hard along with other relevant countries to talk to RU. RU flimflammed with chronic b.s. for several years! The only way to peacemake would have been direct air power engagement using US airpower w/ a coalition of the willing, preventing Ru from ability to make deep incursions it made immediately in those first couple weeks. I have no idea if it was even possible, but imho, if it was, then it should have been done, apparently. But it's hard to say and hard to judge now, of course. But diplomacy was constantly tried the West from 2014 on, and even before! RU has operated in deeply dark bad faith since 2008 and was plainly obvious about that fact. Eastern europe was getting shafted w/ gas shutoffs back from '08 on. Ru is a terrorist state, plainly so! Imho, a coalition of the wiling should have stopped Ru cold in its tracks into Ukr, with airpower!
