Never seen any content creator be anywhere near as critical of himself as Destiny, not even the smallest ones let alone the big ones.

I believe LonerBox has stated that the best part of his relationship with Destiny is that he can openly disagree with him without burning any bridge.

I think a big issue is seeing disagreement in an antagonistic processing framework rather than opponent processing. We see far too much disagreement as an enemy that must be destroyed rather than as a way we can develop our own position. I do think there needs to be a limit, but if we latch onto any disagreement and blow it out of proportion we fall into the narcissism of small differences.

As a big milo fan I was fairly disappointed in his communities reaction. Yall didn't touch on any iffy subjects, nothing but good vibes and discussion, and yet that community post was a dumpster fire.

it's a valid feeling to have. I think most people that are aligned to some degree with destiny have an easier time disagreeing with him than really in any other type of community. maybe except for like....sport communities.

I think destiny approach of being ultra agressive against consrrvatives has been the worse thing he has done. Now he is limited with his reach of people he can talk to and the other side is getting bigger and more crazy. Now the majority of conservatives dont even want to start a conversation with destiny, because they know he is bad news for them and they dont lose anything by not talking to him. Also the public opinion of destiny has been hit by all the recent allegations, the video leaks and his relation ship stuff that make him seem as a crazy freaky horny guy behind scene. Not like it really matters with his political views , but publicly it affects his person. Now his livestreams are back at the lvl it was at the beggining of 6k or 7k of his loyal fanbase.

when he started being ultra aggressive might have backfired. but I think post election it's the better option. he just had debates with right wingers yesterday, like...he's still a big enough content creator to interact with. facts should be the most important thing in these convos but they obviously end up not being so important. so I think making the other side look "dumb" would be more effective than hand holding them to an agreeable position where the right's wrong factually.
@chok1169
@chok1169 5 күн бұрын
@@thetrib1 He is debating with some random right wingers, no one gonna watch that shit apart from people in his bubble. The idea of Destiny of making them look dumb works if he appears calm and doesn't end up screaming (which in some cases happens, but rarely... specially because he gets easily triggered with some points). Destiny believed that his soft gloves approach wasn't working, but sure as hell it was, he even made me change my opinion about Trump and jan 6 (also a lot of the conservatives were talking about him in a somewhat of a good light compared to the most extremist people of the left). Now, Destiny betterpraysy that he starts getting invited to debate people that are popular in the right on big platforms, but most of them dont even want to talk to him and they don't win anything by talking to him. The people that hang on the center-right will never change their opinions with the approach that Destiny is taking of calling them stupid animals and that he is ok with them dying if they go to a rally that support a dictator. The only thing he has left is trying to cement his position on the left, unite them, and surpass Hassan as the main lefty guy, but with all the recent scandals and leaks of how a freaky guy steven is behind doors... I dont see him getting that much mainstream support lmao.

Nah he's right about the core elements of his community. The core DGG'ers are prone to a bit of brigading. Nowhere near to the same degree as some communities but it's still a thing.
