Destiny Rise of Iron: Reactions to The World First Outbreak Prime Chase (Highlights)

Math Class (my clan) went hunting for the 4th monitor after some more information came in about how to possibly unlock it. What happened next was only the beginning of the quest to actually get Outbreak Prime.
This video consists of highlights from my stream of us figuring out what we needed to do. My clan did end up getting the world first set of Outbreak Primes as far as we know, which is outstanding, and credit to all who were involved. Lord know I didn't do nearly as much as some of my other clanmates did.

LOL me too Soul0Stealer. I was 12 and I beat every raid in Destiny on hard mode 5 times or more (except the WoTM hard mode). I'm 13 now, and I have Outbreak Prime and 3 WoTM normal mode completions.

We just did the first par of these steps the ones necesary to open the middle in the raid and even though we had some idea of what to do, it was really interesting. yeah i think so too. at least this weapon isnt tied to a ridiculous amount of rng like nechrocasm and vex mythoclast, and not as much grinding as touch of malice. the quest is at least very possible but its just verrrryyy hard

It was tough for me since I got a team to do it with. We got all the monitors and got all the way to the final CP but the team couldn't get the mechanics down for Aksis and we had to bail after 4 hours. I'm afraid it'll be more difficult to find a team for me again since I'm only 361 light

God, this looks fucking amazing compared to leviathan. Like I enjoy the raid in D2 right now as well as EOW, but the raids and exotic quests from D1 look so much more interactive and worthwhile to do. They also seem to involve more team work and it really seems to connect your fireteam. Man, I wish D2 were like that. :(

I tend to disagree. If you compare Oryx to Aksis, Oryx seems to be easier to perform. Yes it is mechanics heavy but any person has just very limited stuff to do. You got guys standing on platforms and shooting at knights, you have guys in the middle killing ogres and the runner jumping on platforms in a static pattern. Aksis however requires a lot more communication. You have to call out servitor spawns and empowered buffs and transfer people to different locations accordingly. Nothing that can't be done with some practice of course but generally it's easier to mess up Aksis in my opinion.

It's literally one big math problem. WTF?! Is it really to much to ask for a quest that's fun and clever? The first part was acceptable but, fairly off putting. This stuff after you open the chest, with the charts and the math etc., is a bunch of tedious nonsense. If Destiny 2 is full of stuff like this, I'm not sure I can keep going.

Honestly. I liked this. It required completly different set of skills to complete this. Using math! I actually enjoyed it, even if it was tough to figure out. I take a quest like this over lets say killing the final raid boss dozens of times so that he drops his Crux...or the weapon itself. Thinking about how long it took for many year 1 players to get a Vex Mythoclast, a Nechrochasm and the prison exotics, I think for the majority of players, it would be better if it was less RNG based like that.
