Destiny's Child Emotion Reaction Reaction starts at 03:26 1. I don't remember this music video being so good. It didn't seem that good back then. 2. I like the split screen setup. Constantly holds your attention. 3. I like Samantha Sang, Destiny Child, Bee Gees

The fact is the bee gees were the geniuses who created this smash hit .

yes, you're right....but my generation thinks this is a Destiny's child song lol .

They are R&B singers and vocal gymnastics is a STAPLE in that genre from Destiny’s child, Mariah Carey, and Whitney

Barry was known for having a knack, even as a teenager in Australia, for custom writing for others. If this song was custom written for Samantha Sang, not for themselves, then it is a credit to their songwriting ability for her version to be favored. 2 of the Bee Gees SNFever hits were More Than A Woman and If I Can’t Have You. MTAW was covered for SNF soundtrack by Tavares, and Yvonne Elliman covered the other. I was in high school during this time, and both the Bee Gees versions and the cover versions were being played on the radio alternately. Incredible!!

All three are great. How could they not be as the Bee Gees wrote the song. I know you like the falsetto sung by Barry so "Love So Right" would be one that you will enjoy. It hit at number 3 in 1976 which was the beginning of the falsetto sound.

It was unfortunate they stopped.

I think for me, my favorite is still the Samantha Sang version. I really like the other two versions though, and Destiny’s Child was a very talented group. As someone else may have already mentioned, sometimes the ‘vocal gymnastics’ is too much for me personally.

Sometimes all the vocal runs can overpower or distract from the song. I like the original smooth version by Samantha Sang & Bee Gees..

Not a patch on the original Samantha Sang , Bee Gees version.

I will have been about 30 when this version dropped - now don’t get me wrong Rnb is my fave genre and DC made this their own , but - it was over sung with the vocal acrobats - sometimes simplicity is best .

For me this is worst of the three mainly because i hate warbling vocal gymnastics.

Different strokes for different folks. People of color tend to gravitate toward vocal gymnastics and powerful belting and growling when we sing.
@eggy19624 жыл бұрын
@@ritapreston3809 fair enough with power vocals but the warbling does my head in as i think its not needed.

I don't really care for this one. While these ladies are very capable of singing, I feel like I am just hearing a string of adlips. I know this is the type of singing that is really popular these days and every girl dreams of singing like Beyoncé, it is not a style I prefer. I don't mind an adlips here and there, but not as a way of singing. But the harmonies do sound amazing in this song. They deserve all the credits for their success, it's just not for me.

Interesting that you say that. This is def my millennial generation and it was HUGE back when I was younger. But of course to each their own. Thanks for your insightful comment. I appreciate it.

Totally agree with Maarten. Although I can appreciate that the ladies have great voices and the harmonies were good, I myself am not a fan of what I call over singing. Hey, I'm 47, I'm allowed. Lol
