She was dumb. 99% of aspiring singers will never get lucky enough to get a recird deal, and of 99% of the 1% that make it won't be ever lucky enough to reach multi-platinum status. Farrah was lucky enough to get hired into an established multi-platinum group, without having to do any of the decade+ of grinding and sacrifice that it took B&K (+the Knowles) to make that possible. It should have been expected that she was not going to be free to just waltz in and do whatever she wanted, and automatically have an equal voice to those who created the group, just as you wouldn't get hited at any other job expecting to have the same pull as the CEO thats been there for 20 years. It wasn't being independent it was being stupid.
