Agreed, being a Diamond league player, I realized all you really need to have is 90% decent macro and mechanics, and 10% understanding of strategies, unit comps, map awareness/positioning. What gets you into Masters is not just having good macro, but also a deeper understanding of the game. You know why Stephano was able to hit GM with only 3-4 hours of practice a day? He watched his replays and studied what he needed to do better. Its not just mindlessly hammering out games anymore.

Was wondering two things about this video: 1) At 7:00 what range circle is Destiny showing (and how)? All his skills were on cooldown, so I wondered if it was an auto attack range indicator, which I was not aware could be shown. 2) At 7:55 Destiny's recall was stopped. Anyone know what interrupted it? I couldn't see anything.

So I don't play LoL and am slightly confused; is a rush like this not usually supposed to work, like was the other team just not very good? Or did Destiny and his team just completely catch them off guard in the beginning and it snowballed with the super creeps.

1) There is an option to enable auto-attack range. In-game under "More Options", lookf for "Show Attack Range Circle". 2) My guess would be a Janna Tornado. She is not present on the minimap and the damage done at 07:50 is pretty low.

He has the option enabled that shows your attack range when you use A click. (attack move) i think its under more options.

This happened to me before but in norm draft 3 months ago maybe. They ran heimer,cait with normal summoners so we didn't really have any clue until we saw 5man top and our top turret was destroyed in seconds. This team comp really separates team players from solo queue players in your friends as you tell them to group up as well. Thing is, it's really hard to clear the wave they form even as 5 man without getting poked to death and needing to back :s.

This is a somewhat known risky strat. The real reason it worked was because the enemy team did not react properly (they only sent three people to deal with the push instead of four) and the only person with good AoE wave-clear was Varus, and he was left in a side lane. Once the first inhibitor was down, the game was pretty close to over, because super minion base stats are 1500 + 200/3min health and 190 + 10/3min attack damage, making them about twice as strong as any individual champion.

it makes the minion the turret is hitting invulnerable while they're tp'ing, so the minion wave lasts longer and they have more time to kill it

Le Blanc? She has a killer early game! Although she does have terrible waver clear so she gets hit hard with the 5man strat. Not to mention Janna and Varus are really good counters. I think the enemy team just got caught really off guard (which is easy to do) and just didn't have the coordination to respond. GG, would watch again.

If you know anything about DotA you would know it IS a stand alone game. MANY people played WC3 for nothing but DotA, and more tournaments were announced for DotA then WC3. Also multiple programs were set up for DotA. An example are Garena and Dotalicious.

Whenever you teleport to a minion, it makes the minion invulnerable until the teleport completes. So they used the teleport on the minion with tower aggro, thus giving the minion an effective 400 hp or 2- 3 tower shots :D.

By teleporting on the minion with the turret hitting that specific minion, the minion cannot die until the teleportation is complete, thus increasing time to hit turrets without taking damage

don't forget to CANCEL your teleports at the last seccond so it recharges in 3 minutes instead of 5. still provides all the invuln to the minion

Except both games have "steep" learning curves. In LoL, you learn from your deaths/mistakes, much like SC2, although gameplay are different they are similar.

You need a LOT of wave clear to make 1-3-1 work. You're better off running a 1-4-0 if you think you can hold mid and push out a lane or a 0-5-0 strat to try to hold for late game (cuz these cheese comps tend to suck late game)

The old creator of DotA left dota to create LoL when all the heros were unbalanced and DotA was a noncompetitive game. An example was when Riki had 2 ultimates, one invis and Death Ward. Then icefrog took over and formed DotA into what it currently is. DotA2 is an exact copy of DotA, so when someone says LoL is stealing from DotA they are referring to DotA and DotA2.

You can counter this by sending 3 people to mid and 2 people in other lanes, 3 people should be enough to defend mid for a while, and sides will have huge level advantage by minute 10, the all mid team would just get shut down.

I was in this same position. All that must be done is u must slow them down with the majority of your team asap. Then 1 player(preferably adc) goes and farms outside lane and backdoors. easy no matter how many pushers. then adc coms back and is fed so picks up kills. simple
