Random theory time: Cayde is in a state where he’s partially alive. brought back by the memory in the darkness colliding with the light of the traveler, but there’s gonna be some reason he can’t leave the traveler, and while he’s there he’s afraid. In the trailer when he said “I keep thinking I’m going to run into you” he’s either talking about his ghost or the player.
