Just because it's old doesn't mean that it's bad. I feel that if anyone wants to get into the series, it's way better to start with the first game. It's a full package for a cheaper price. I paid only 20$ for all of destiny 1 while just the newest campaign for destiny 2 is 60$ assuming you don't get the season pass as well.
