Clinical Data Specialist in Cath/PCI (Heart attack people) there are three types of heart attacks: STEMI, NSTEMI, unstable angina. STEMI (ST Elevated Mylocardial Infarction) is flat out the most serious because it means you're reading ST elevations on their EKG. It means they have one of the major coronary arteries blocked off, and this could most likely lead to death. This is a life and death situation and the patient needs to be taken to the cath lab emergently. An NSTEMI is a Non-ST Elevated Myocardial Infarction, meaning that yes, they are having a heart attack, but most likely they still have some blood flow past the culprit lesion, whether that's through a natural bypass or because the vessel isn't 100% occluded. They will generally be admitted and observed for about 24 hours before doing an exploratory heart cath, and in that time it allows them to do labs, other tests, (echo to check EF%) and get a better understanding of the patient and their health. Unstable angina can include chest discomfort, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, shortness of breath, and other symptoms. Generally if the patients blood pressure and pain can be managed in the ED, and their labs are normal and ekg doesn't show any concerning rhythms, then they get discharged and told to follow up with a for an outpatient cardiologist. From there if the patient is still having issues, they'll schedule them for an outpatient exploratory heart cath. I'd give more details but I fucking hate typing on my phone.

Funny story involving heart problems disguised as panic attacks. I was actually born with a heart defect, basically your heart beats via an electrical circuit and I had extra tissue that would sometimes disrupt that circuit causing my heart to go into overdrive and beat something around +200 bpm. I think my episodes started around when I was a teenager, and when it was brought up to doctors every single time it was written off as anxiety or panic attacks. When I would describe it to people they would say ya you're just having a panic attack. Well when I got covid it exacerbated the issue and I had to go to the ER. AND STILL they thought my heart was racing because I was panicing that I had covid, even though it was repeatedly starting and stopping on a dime (bpm would go from normal to +200 within an instant and eventually go back to normal also within an instant). They ended up giving me something that finally got my heart rate under control, and a heart specialist came in and gave me the correct diagnosis just based off of what he heard had happened. One ablation later and I've never had an episode since, and now I know from people like Dan telling their experiences with panic attacks that I've thankfully never had one.
@kidvega953622 сағат бұрын
I actually have the same thing I think thankfully never had the confusion with it being panic attacks tho. It was definitely very uncomfortable till the ablation though
@Pondy-sama22 сағат бұрын
If your first instinct isn’t to go to the ER or call 911, you’re not having a panic attack. The quintessential aspect of a panic attack is feeling like you’re literally about to die and probably feeling like your heart is about to explode. Anyone who claims to have had a panic attack and laughs at anyone for seeking emergency medical care for one, has likely only suffered from an anxiety attack, which yes, is different.
@zeekawesomecus91720 сағат бұрын
@@Pondy-sama I mean I probably should have gone to the ER the first time I had an arrhythmia episode, +200 bpm is not good even if its just temporary, but I was a kid and didn't know any better. After that I learned how to manage it better and how to get my heart rate back to normal on my own just by having to deal with it. I think what Steven was more so getting at is having to call an ambulance 6 times in a year is a bit extreme and should be avoided if possible. If you know you're prone to panic attacks and you have what seems to you is a panic attack, you should be able to better manage it by then due to previous experiences and its also probably a good idea to do research on panic attacks and how to deal with them. At that point if you can't alleviate your symptoms yourself then you should probably go to the ER and if need be by ambulance. But I don't think under most circumstances calling an ambulance should be step one. Steven even said having a panic attack for the first time he understands, but after that its like for your own benefit you should be capable of dealing with it yourself.

The problem with Goodwill is that it's accepting donations from people who think they are giving to those who are less fortunate, while in actuality they are just helping to fund a for-profit private company. Goodwill doesn't really do that much for poor or underserved communities, they just rely on getting item donations to keep merchandise in their stores. That's the problem people have with goodwill. Edit: As was pointed out to me, Goodwill is actually a non-profit organization. I find this to be worse, as they are not paying any taxes while still essentially functioning as a for-profit organization.

As someone who has had panic disorder, it really does feel like youre about to die or go crazy. It's an overwhelming sense of something being terribly wrong. Your mind begins racing like crazy, your heart starts beating out of your chest, you cant breathe and you cant concentrate on anything but the impending doom as well as millions of other physical and mental symptoms. After the first time though, you start to recognize the symptoms and should be able to verify when something is actually wrong versus a panic attack. That guy calling the ambulance 6 times a year sounds like he needs some serious therapy. That isn't normal and he may be extremely stressed in his daily life and not even know it.

Destiny Bluepilled me on the Healthcare shit pretty hard: - Dude was worth 45M, not even major stock owned in the company. The company is basically public property through EFT's and Asset management funds. Only sus thing is Vanguard and Blackrock etc owning all the voting rights despite the money being put up by the Americans invested in them (half the fucking population by the way, comrads) but that's just bad system design not a threat to civilization. They vote boring anyway. - Healthcare paying out 80% in premiums is pretty based too. Even if you think healthcare is too expensive that's not even their fault. Only major point of contention is that American healthcare for the same drugs, is like 2.5x as expensive as other western Social democracies. I know Destiny argues that Americans disproportionately demand and have access to cutting edge stuff, and I would need to check specifically for that, but it's not like we're living in the fucking dirt here in Europe either so that seems like a major point of potential improvement. LOL 18:10 bruh this is basically what Doge has said. I find it hilarious that he can respect it as long as it doesn't come from a republican.
Be careful to praise Javier Milei so soon. During the 2008 GFC the Australia government privatised a lot of State owned assets, critical infrastructure such as; rail, power suppliers and other such important and sensitive infrastructure that might be a conflict of interest should it be sold to a foreign entity. The instant gratification of receiving billions to sell State assets is offset with the reality that now China or whomever purchased your rail network, now has control over your rail network for 99+ years or whatever the agreement was. It's like pawning off your grandmas jewellery or leasing off your home, while still living in it, to foreign actors then being surprised when they want to kick you out. It's now going to cost you _more_ to buy back your items from the pawn shop. The initial burst of income from the sale will make it _seem_ like your economy is rebounding, but in the long run, you've lost an asset that was making you money. Praising Javier Milei so soon is very short-sighted. If collapsing economies were so easy to fix, then all the world would be doing it...
@user-uq4gr5nl5oКүн бұрын
That's completely unrelated to what's happening in Argentina. The policies Milei is implementing are aimed at improving things mainly in the long term. That's why he said they were gonna have a bad time for a while. In any case, if things are better now, they are only bound to get even better in the future.

Every single left winger on the planet defended insurance companies during the BLM riots. They burn your house down but you have insurance so it does not matter. Health insurance in a Country w/o any other options means that they are the best option. A person that is always calling ambulances hurts everyone in a system w/o insurance or with it. Not knowing that wasting resources is a negative thing shows why people should stfu.

Greenland (coupled with Alaska) would give America a strong claim on Arctic territory. With climate change coming into effect, the Northwest Passage is going to be navigable all year round, creating a new trade route that massively cuts down on how much time it takes to move cargo over long distances. Whomever controls the passage is going to be making bank, so anything that gives America more control over the area ensures that at least part of that profit can be claimed by the US.

xqc‘s critique was not really substantive. Being supportive of the working class and having more money than the average viewer is preferable to being against the working class and having a lot of money. Also, criticizing someone’s appearance is an ad hominem. Is this really the type of content that resonates with people who think they have the moral highground?

Why are you defending hypocrisy? Hasan isn't on the side of the worker. He SES he's on the side of the worker but acts like a rich corporate consumer who doesn't give a fuck.
@onthebrink1111Күн бұрын
Hasan has never once been in favor of policies for the working class. He is an idpol antiwar progressive. Sounds like you are as well. They made fun of his dressing style but that goes against you. Rich and wealthy people love to take all of the best options at good will and leave nothing for the poor. They even often times resell them to make a profit. The left is not on the side of the working class. They are on the side of middle class college kids on pace to make 100k a year.
