You seem to keep soul shards capped quite a bit, do you notice this affects your damage output? I try to never cast a builder when on 5 shards when i can help it

blizzard completely forgot to buff ruination in tandem with chaos bolt. now that wither is nerfed to the ground and immolate is buffed im finally trying diabolist and it's insane that i'm incentivised to cancelaura ruination.

@@ccdxdhk1575 Hm, I disagree. Diabolist has 30% hp healing, 20%+ damage in CB, less casting time. The damage of the demons too are good, you can spam CBs more often. Wither’s damage got nerfed and it’s not really great, 8% haste is nothing tbh. As Diabolist you can hit 3mi+ with Chaos Bolt. Hellcaller was meant to be an Affliction talent tree and it’s obvious, they just have to buff it or nerf SH to make it work for them.

@@wyraven I reckon dark Pact talent probably does comparable healing, 3% for ten seconds won't save you from a burst window anyways. Touch of Rancora is nice, but I don't think it's too game changing as it's like what every 4th chaos bolt? The 8% from malev (with haste stack) turns into about 10% and with procs is about 12%. Yeah wither sucks, but i care more for shard generation anways. Blackened soul sb and bolt do most of the heavy lifting to begin with, wither was pad dam. Diabolist might be stronger in total, but Hellcaller makes destro feel much more fluid and easy. comes down to personal pref tho probably

@@ccdxdhk1575 I am not sure about easy, both trees are easy Imo, Destruction isn’t difficult by any means. Shard generation as Destruction is very easy if you take Diabolic Embers. I don’t really think 8% haste is much, it would be for Affliction because it makes the dots go faster. I like both trees for gameplay but Diabolist feels more powerful. 3mi DB makes it feel like CB when it was really good years ago. I don’t think the healing saves from bursts but it helps to get more life if you use when you’re low health.

For some reason I find destruction warlock the most intuitive class to play in the game, hellcaller especially, the build spend nature of it and the self heals and utility all come together perfectly for me

​@@seko6193as much as I would like to keep the train rolling he's right, I was absolutely dominating at least in a bg setting as hellcaller destro before the buff, I wondered why I hit a rogue for 3m chaos bolts yesterday the buff definitely explains it 😅 Of course they're firmly low A tier in high level arena so in that respect you're correct but in a battleground environment they're absolutely ridiculous
