the other really nice thing is that by the time you get Restless Armor, you can fuse with Skeletons in the Circle of Conquest, to get Skeleton Soldiers, which two of them gets you a Skeleton Swordsman. It on its own has the highly useful Slayer talent, which is loaded with status effect slash attacks, ut if you combine it with the Hunter Mech, you get a Killing Machine that while it doesn't have Metal Beater, gets Tactical Trooper, better stat caps than Killing Machine, *and* will unlock the Critical Triumph Trait for better crit Huzzah! Take it a step further, if you manage to synth yourself a Jugular Joker, by using a Maniacal Mole (Ripped Rabbit + Mischievous Mole) and a Jinkster (Blinkster and Pickyune), you can get an Overkilling Machine-- an early A-rank monster, which has Tactical Trooper *and* Metal Medley skill which instead of getting increased damage period, ignores Metal Skin defense, which results it doing normal damage against Metal Slimes! Plus, it's innate talent of Maniac is an incredibly powerful Physical AoE set. It also has better stat cap and offensive growths than it's upgrade-- the S-rank Uberkilling Machine (who also loses Tactical Trooper, why the hell did they massacre my boy like this)

Wanted to chime in that Skeletons are great for snagging Attack Boost 1 so you can start working towards the Attack Boost line. Been a solid attacker, even before being able to fuse to go down the skelly line.

The option to keep the same species when sythesizing is a pretty good thing. If you get a monster with traits you like or one you just like in general, you can retain it when sythesizing to keep making it more powerful. I just beat the main story last night, and I still had a slime on my team that was fairly on par with my theoretically more-powerful monsters because of synthesis.

Max shallow breather for deep breather. Carry the game on the back of one monster. Drake slime + cumulus = hell nino. Hell nino with deep breather OP. Carried my whole game lol

The saliva moves work great on the metal slimes and stun them also there is over 500 monsters from all games in this

Casters are so OP. Team with Kaspells doesn't even need a healer. Right now doing lower echelons but each boss dies by round 2 because every spell hits for 100-200. So I don't need a healer just surviving.

Works until end game, for the last couple of bosses you will need a healer but until then just cast your way through and wisdom stat is op in scouting

You can craft the fromage mage because i did that before finding hom in yhe wild 🤣 Since the beginning ive wanted a Dragonlord True Form and searched how to make him. I have to go to the 4th lower ring and just have a D golem (which is basically a mage xD) while im working on the others, its a kong journey

Yes but I don't know how to get a lot of large monsters yet but I'm working on it

@purplatypus breed your monsters with large monsters you find is the answer. Size within small and large is a spectrum (two large creatures of the sam type can be noticably different in size). I think that the synthesized monster's size will be between the two parents, so as long as the large monster is large enough and the small monster is near large in size, the offspring should be large. This likely means that you can synthesize your prized small monster with large monsters over and over to incrementally increase its size, and then eventually when you fuse with another large monster, it should be large. In this example, you could keep the synthesis as the drakslime with deep breathing, and it'll get to use two big aoe deep breathes each turn at least, which I imagine would be crazy at beginning of game.

If you got the Deluxe edition, Mole Hole will randomly generate Large monsters.@@purplatypus7405
