Why do u never show IVs? It doesn't help players trying to get better

He plays in big tournaments and other players knowing his IVs can put him at a disadvantage

Why would him showing his IVs help you get better? IVs have nothing to do with improving your skill level, they’re just for improving a Pokémon’s overall consistency in certain matchups. Your knowledge and skill as a battler matters way more. IVs truly only matter at a very high level and a lot of them are completely match up based or situational. When in doubt, just use a Pokémon that has a high stat product ranking, only worry about specific IV spreads when you’re competing.
