What's best about this channel is that it's not JUST about "here's a great FM tactic," it's an interesting tactical analysis of concept and teams across the globe. Like, I really love getting a new tactic from RDF and, instead of just plugging and playing it without thinking, feeling like I learned something new about actual football in the process.

As a huge Malmo FF fan I truly appreciate this video sir! Today Malmö FF play their first match of the Swedish league and I’m inquisitive what the season brings, with both European qualifiers and to defend the Swedish title⭐️⭐️. Krossa Peking!

Hey - hur ma du? (Hope I wrote that correctly) How are Malmö doing in the league and does it work for them? Also, I support Spurs and in the highlights Lucas Bergvall looks great for Djugarden, how has he been doing in your opinion and are there any other players in the league who you think could move to a top 5 European league as the Sweden squad on paper looks really good now with players like Gyjokores (sorry about the spelling), Isak, Kulusevski etc. On paper it seems like one of the best Sweden squads in a while (at least from my outsider perspective).

@@chriswoodley23 Malmö are doing very well this season, going 6 matches and 18 points( so all wins) and going 17+ in goal difference( only allowing 1 goal to be scored against them). They played against AIK last Sunday(who were 2nd at the time) and won 5-0. They also won the Swedish Cup recently which is the swedish version of the FA cup. I don't watch that much of Djurgården play but from what I can tell Bergvall has been doing okay, imo not 11m € yet but he is only going to get better.

@RDF Did you try using a Treq instead of an IW? I think this is the perfect system that this role could thrive in. I don't have anyone specific that would be perfect for the role, but I'm sure one of my AM or Wingers could play it easy enough.

Arron, I know we’ve touched upon many things that aren’t good in the game or maybe falsly represented, but the in-game clips you show here again with this tactic also goes to show how brilliant the game also is in how we are able to create and re-create so many different styles of play. From free flowing fluid football to highly disciplined blocks. This here is a masterpiece from your side again.. Ten Hag once said while still at Ajax, that players must make movements in opposite directions from eachother to create space and find the 3rd man runs. “To destroy your opponent, you have to make off the ball runs.” This tactic shows that to a great extent 🙏🏻 P.S. I really miss your streams man. Love for you to return streaming on the regular again!

To go a little bit further into football philosophies. I think this toco y me voi principle will become one of the most important concepts in all of football, because that’s exactly what it needs to disrupt oppositions defences

Awesome work bro, as always. These tactics remind me of the way Wenger's Arsenal used to play. A lot of pass and move sequences.
@welshy19779 ай бұрын
Because I had intentionally purchased someone to play IFB but for the right side I've simply mirrored the tactic so now I can torment the opposition from either side of the pitch using both tactics 😆
@F-Tier_Physique9 ай бұрын
For like maximal relationism I would've thought you'd have to do some kind of 4222. 2 BPDS with either one IFB and one IWB on attack(or both wingbacks as IWB on attack). Segundo volante attack and roaming playmaker in midfield. Double raumdeuter for the wingers. Double false 9 or one false 9 + one complete forward on attack for strikers. Probably wouldn't work too well, but it would likely be very funny.

Hello again RDF , very nice tactic rep , because this is my team and its grate to see someone do tactic rep on the team you love and dedicate your life for but i do have one question how would you change this tactic to a 4-4-2 tactic because they have been playing that formation as well or is there any changes i can do for the tactic change in game from a 4-2-3-1 to a 4-4-2 . And also if possible 3-4-2-1 love to here from you.

This way of playing will be disastrous in major competitions. The best coaches with great players will decimate an opponent who plays that way.
@sbaffolodellapuffetta20297 ай бұрын
Xabi alonso's Leverkusen, inzaghi's Inter and Thiago motta's Bologna use this philosophy. To be Fair, they use a mixed approach, there are "perimetrical" players that follow positional structure, but the fluid approach in the middle Is crucial to exploit man to man defences. Positional play was invented to exploit zonal defending, but nowadays the majority uses man to man defending. I think that a whole team playing this way would create problems with counter-attacks if counter-pressing doesn't work, but mixing it creates incredible situations. These three teams are some of the juiciest stuff in Europe, expecially Leverkusen. I recommend you FIGC's article: "a new age". I personally think in few years everyone Will embrace relational concepts. P.S. i personally think there are a lot of misconceptions of how this philosophy actually works out, It Is more similar to the positional play than you can Imagine.

Results looks great and game play look like my style of play. One question, I was thinking reletionism tactics will have a lot of roles with roam from pos., it's not working with those roles?
@michaelclince24579 ай бұрын
Not Aaron, but I imagine it has something to do with the fact that roaming doesn't necessarily bring players closer to the ball, but to potentially dangerous areas of the pitch. Relationism is dependent on players gravitating towards the area of the pitch that the ball is to allow for the short quick give and go moves that relationism is characterised by.

In all likelihood it's not the formation that is the issue. There are too many variables at play to pin poor results on a formation alone.

I don't believe it will be successful in real life in the big European leagues and the Champions League. It's very easy to find spaces to counter attack. Fluminense won the Libertadores because the opponents still didn't know how to play against them, but they easily learned. malmo won because the competition from opposing coaches is weak. Look what Colombia did to Diniz Brazil.
@karthikcv81049 ай бұрын
That's where the gegenpressing comes into effect. The on ball structure means there's a lot of players near the ball who could win it back. You can also force the opponent into less dangerous areas and allow time to reset into a familiar defensive formation. The pitch tilt also means the touchline can be used as an extra defender. It can work and has worked for years in the old dominant South American National sides. Besides Argentina won the World Cup adhering to their style of relationism, so it does work in the modern day. The problem with Brazil was much more deep rooted.
