So this was not an easy mission and didnt go as well as planned but glad its done and made for some great footage and brought up some good tips. This planted freshwater setup has no filter no co2. Hopefully this will help some people who may find themselves in a similar situation. If you love clean Homebred top quality aquatics check out the site below. Thanks for your time! :D

That center brace is so important - however when catching fish it is a byoutch !!!!!!! \(◎o◎)/

Took me an hour and ten minutes to catch one aulonacara cichlid thats after i took almost every rock and deco out. Lemme tail ya that the center brace is a b**ch. At one point I was tired of going over the cross brace so i left the little net to scare it back to my preferred side.

I have a 75 with impossible to catch fish and what I've done is make a divider so I can get the fish cornered in a smaller section but the divider has to fit really well so they can't squeak through!

Mr. Lucas. I hope you luck out with getting some spawn from those plants. I bet the out takes were funny and forgive my humor at such a frustrating task. Tank looks good after re-assembling. I might recommend checking out amazon for 40g, 55g, 70g, etc... tank dividers or even foam tank dividers/matten filters from flip aquatics. Maybe you can scare them to 1 side and throw a divider in the middle and round them up in that open half next time. Hope that helps with future endeavors. I enjoy your material, especially your shrimp vids.

I find keeping different color nets can help. They get trained on one color change to another or one bright and one concealing color. When in doubt chase them into a dark container in the water.

Wow! Fast little guys! Feel for ya, Lucas. At least you don't have heavy rocks to move in the tank. Sometimes the only way I can catch the fast guys is right after lights on in the morning.

Catching fast fishies is the bane of my existence ... least favorite thing to do. Lucky for me I have an amazingly patient 20 year old daughter who gets the job 8 out of 10 times. I used to just say it was the fishes fault not me but then She goes and catches them in no time ; separates them from the other schoolers in the tank w the net they’re in... it’s just embarrassing 😊 I’m so thankful for her help. thank you for sharing always love your vids ☺️🤪

Use green or black nets, they confuse it with a place to take cover and swim right into the net. They run away from white and blue nets.

Ok...now I don't feel so bad. If the Green Water Wizard had this much trouble and had to tear apart and drain down a tank to catch these slick fish...I don't feel so clumsy for tearing apart a tank and uttering cuss words I didn't even know I knew while trying to catch young, healthy and fast danios. 👍💕👍

Use your water pump to get them out or drain the water by 50 to 65% for less volume to swim.

Sounds silly but have you ever tried a homemade bottle trap with food , I’ve used one for yabbies before basically cut the top of a bottle to make a funnel and tape it upside down in the rest of the bottle drill a couple holes halfway down and attach a string... I understand the pain of destroying a tank to get out the fish
