@@thekingisdead6411no pepper spray is still very often considered less lethal since it can and has killed people with compromised airways and pre-existing conditions. I recall it being 9mm and 5.56 with a blue uppers and special mags. Shit hurts I know that 4 a fact. Good training. It's easy to shoot well at stationary targets. Harder when they move and shoot back. These guys just got back from Ramadi and was part of Fallujah. Some bad ass Marines. Ok 9mm says 360-490 fps. Muzzle energy at 3.5 meters is 3-5.6 Jules. In basic training back in the late 80s they would put us in full MOP protective gear and gas masks. Then place us in a room with pure CS gas crystals which reacts chemically to water. We then had to remove our masks say our last name and serial number. Once I finished, I felt a guy run by me who was hacking coughing and blind. He ran full speed into a tree and almost knocked himself out. Pure CS is no joke.

Sounds like I did the same training back in 1989. Was it in Sydney Australia.

Went through bct in 2014. Same thing, but no MOP gear. Just a mask, and we had to take it off in the chamber, recite SSN, rank, name, soldier's creed, and/or answer questions. Lasted about 5 minutes or so. Right before the chamber, we had to do an obstacle course in the mask and MOP, to get us all sweaty and scratched up, making the gas sting worse on bare skin.
@The_Judge3006 ай бұрын
@@chrisr267 I went trough about exactly the same as you. The first time it was exactly the same during our basic training. After basic training we were targets for CS gas many times. The second time, we had to do 10 pushups and 30 sit ups before addressing our officer. The third time, we had to do 20 pushups and 60 sit ups before addressing our officer. Our officers also loved to toss CS gas boxes at us when we trained trench fighting, house clearing and obstacle courses. Our uniforms were stinking of CS almost all the time for a few months. And every time the uniform got wet because of sweat or rain, the CS would react with it.

Great to see your commitment to testing things like this out, stay safe though! I was a bit worried about the sloped shield for the OC rounds as that could have had fragments deflecting up into your face. One detail of note: An item like that cannot be carried for self defence in Canada. They can be bought and kept in Canadian homes, provided the muzzle velocity is under 150m/s. Chemical OC rounds are generally not legal in Canada. Having owned several CO2 cartridge air guns I would be cautious about carrying something like this regularly for self defence. Once the cartridge is loaded the gun must be depleted before you attempt to unload the CO2 cartridge, and they do tend to leak. This isn't the type of thing you can leave in a purse or nightstand and just tuck in your pants each day. I'd be curious how long the CO2 cartridge will keep once fitted, and the wear on seals if left for an extended period in a charged and ready to go state.

0:32 please dont lie about Canada 😢 you are not allowed to carry ANYTHING for self defense no matter what it is, you carry your average belt for the purpose of self defense, and there was somehow evidence of that, you can get in trouble

There's a Canadian YT I really like Brobee223. Really simple presentation but did alot of ammo reviews, showed quite a few of his hunts. His videos have obviously been stunted by Canada's unfortunate draconian laws. I reccomend giving his older videos a look though!

as a reminder to shoot at an angle at bouncy targets. you generally want to aim down or even use a painball winger sling.
