They are definitely uncommon and panasonic teamed up with nintendo even in the 80s for some tech which is even more obscure. These show up on ebay alot if you look for them bur they are always broken but a working unit fetches about 6-800 gbp. The gameboy players are the hardest part to find sadly 😥

It was a grail for me and i knew it could have many issues but as for this one it would have been the rubber band and ofc the magnet which you could see was on its way out but turned into alot more work lol

No mate just for fun 😄 I have all the tools I need now so I have been doing alot more repairs to keep my mind busy. I cannot wait for the resin printer it's a high end model so going to be amazing quality plus I'm going to get into spraying also as I have a huge garage spare for the work 😎😎

Its something i could look at for sure! be wary that if the drive rails are original they do have a very high chance that they can smash in the post sadly but if packaged in a bullet proof way it should arrive safely (or i can print new rails to install ofc) you can message me on instagram its in my bio or on X or my TikTok Give me a shout and im sure we can make it work properly again

So the belt will need doing 100% and most likely the magnet on the spindle but i can sand it down to fit ofc both parts are easily found also just the magnet needs work to fit but the rest i can source

I wish I had a proper cradle for my phone to film but my phone is so heavy even the large one I have can't hold it lol I think alot of people don't know how silly the design is inside for the system 😅 just to test one thing you have to build the lot again 😂😂

I've done most of my stuff on Tiktok recently hence the vertical aspect lol 😆 I got fed up of youtube due to the advert bombardment they are pushing. Carboots start the end up mark I believe in my new area and are 4 days a week!!

She looks great Kev, i know these things are a nightmare with so many issues, im assuming the rails fail anyway (given theres a need for a 3d printed image) so with the player im guessing you can just swap the innards from a standard one into the 3d mould? Some great fixes there and i hope you got your money back from seller or at least most of it.

The drives do have an issue with cracking sadly but this one was whole before shipping sadly. The drive can't be replaced with a cube one as its from a panasonic dvd player only made in japan 😥 the 3d print parts are a godsend thankfully and fit amazingly 👏 really a shame about the faceplate but the rest of the paintjob looks so much better 👍
