He is a good player and played very well but he was playing against a number of tier 8 ships, there was no radar or Cvs which makes a huge difference. That said I could only be this good in my dreams, my hats off to him!

Смотришь такие видео и думаешь "может во мне дело? " Каждый бой у каждого второго противника РЛС и выцеливают как будто только меня. А тут пару засветов за всю игру и противник не меняет курс как будто вообще.

I have the Gearing, its a good boat. However I often prefer the Fletcher. The Gearing is larger, so its concealment isn't as good. Also, WoWS got the beam dimensions wrong, so that SAP and AP don't over pen. But if you can live with that or get Captain's skills and flags to compensate, its a mighty likeable ship.

They actually fixed the Gearing model (and updated Fletcher and a bunch of other US DD's) a couple of patches ago. It was too wide, too short, and sat too high in the water but it should be the correct size now. But yeah, Fletcher is still pretty nice to play. It's faster, more maneuverable, and for some reason puts out one extra flak puff over Gearing.

Try getting her unique upgrade, then with slightly slower gun and torp reload, she has Shimakaze concealment, which can surprise many enemies.
