Why does tomb tampering have the effect to make the shuffled cards cost 1 again? This was foreseen to be broken in wild with the discard interactions but the combo decks just looks like “feels bad man”

It's unplayable in Standard otherwise. Malchezaar's Imp and Hand of Gul'dan are both Wild only, and if you're drawing regular cost cards after playing a card that empties your entire hand, you're setting yourself up for a loss.

Yeah, the discount is "the thing the card does." Even with Imp I'm not sure a 3-mana card that did nothing but discard your hand would be that playable, it gives some hand fixing while possibly triggering a few discard abilities but that's still pretty underwhelming for a two card combo in wild. Doesn't mean the balance on the card is perfect (it is weird how it's useless in standard and overpowered in wild, they basically printed a card that is bad for both formats simultaneously for opposite reasons), but the logic behind the design at least makes sense.

I think that the jades didn't all go to the bottom in game one. As far as i understand, effects such as "destroy x cards" work the same way that "draw x minions/spells/etc" : they pick random cards. This woulda hard to check without dredge, but i am rather sure that tickatus destroys cards in random order

I might have seen this interaction with lorekeeper. Tickatus destroys off the top of the deck, if I remember correctly

It does specifically say "top X cards" and we know that decks have fixed ordering now. Effect text is often wrong but this would be a very weird one to be inaccurate since it would basically be an outright lie rather than just missing information.
