Yeah remember that job, will never forget it. I had a 1985 Hydrostream VKing. since I was doing all that work I went ahead and used Klegecell core instead of balsa. Never rot again. Wish I kept that boat.

I’d highly recommend removing the motor off the back before you put the core down. Could put an even more hook in the bottom of the hull.

I had the weight off of it with a cherry picker but yes very understandable boat is back together and has been tested… Stay tuned 👀

I’ve got a Viper, a Vector, and a Viking and considering rebuilding all 3 boat floors and transoms. Can you give a materials vendor list? How thick was the actual core thicknesses? I’d hate to slice through the bottom of the boat.

Hooked the cherry picker up an took the weight off.. should’ve unbolted because I had too either way for the trim motor but it is what it is she rides nice!
