One and only reason he can even get that far on expert levels: The game is new enough that the trolls haven't ruined the game with ridiculous levels and its mostly players with actual interest in the game (which makes better levels overall) that bought it at its release or very early. So levels are, as of right now at least, mostly well made levels (with some sadistic creators but few and far between).

at 13:00 mark, I played this level. It was slightly different though as the beginning part didn't give a mushroom but instead it was a car. I wonder if someone just stole the entire level but switched just the first part and blocked the final part with pipes. what a trash person. What you're actually supposed to do is ride the car all the way across enemies and jumping over obstacles with it.
