As a suggestion, make two things if you are gonna go dirt mining again: one of the massive trucks, and a paver. The paver makes it so the truck places new dirt to make a new path rather than falling into caverns and you need the truck to be able to fit the drill and paver on the front, plus a lot more space to throw on storage and more soil containers

Here’s a tip for reaching things from further away: if you are holding your digging tool, you can reach items from much further, so you can detonate the dynamite from the top of the hole

As a bit of a tip, the medium (and large) resource canisters only accept input on the top, when output is disabled. If output is enabled, they will not accept anything (probably to stop it feeding into itself). The resource canisters will accept any resource in the game, though, with a gas canister apparently in the works in future.

yes it is possible to automate the entire soil -> carbon process! There's button trigger and timer mechanics. Please blow up all your small rovers and/or shred them! 2 large silos filled with 24 medium silos fit into large shuttle!

Words of wisdom from a fellow astroneer if you can get a paver on the front of your miner/drill you can go in all directions. Invest in large rovers too.

Blitz, soil is mostly organic compounds. Broken down leaves, grass, wood, etc. Dead bugs, worm poop, everything else. Also a lot of silica and clay but there's a lot of carbon available.

I want the developers to add radiation to this game. So, on heavily irradiated planets, you need to have a special attachment in your pack to protect you. If you make a strong enough bomb, then the radiation from that would encompass the planet for a period of time. For example, I moved my base of operations to the inner core on Sylvia, as the Mushroom Forest is very calming, and I love the low-G aspect. It makes the planet more alien. I also plan on dropping a nuke on the planet, too. FYI, Explosive Powder in a barrel is REALLY explosive, and you can use small platforms and button repeaters as remote detonators to some degree.

Heres a tip for ur medium rover: you can put a large storage on it and it can fit up to 4 medium storages also the rtg/qt-rtg works still for the buggy seat you can put it on the large storage so now u can have extra medium slots.

if you wanna do some crazy explosive potential, you can use anchors to grab things and drag them instead of taking the dynamite off the silos just grab the entire silo with an anchor and drag 5 of them to space

Exploding gas canisters like Hyrogen should be a much more efficient way to make a big explosion. Tnt requires so many resources, why not only have one to set everything off? Just make sure your giant storage of gas isn't placed next to an active smelter like I did XD

1000 pounds of tnt (500kg) is 1 kiloton, each stick of dynamite weights 600 grams, there seems to be 6 sticks of dynamite per package (idk what to call it) so that’s 3.6 kg of dynamite per package. It looks to be that you can hold 64 dynamite packages in 1 spaceship (by package I mean 6 rolls)which means all the dynamite would weigh 230.4 kgs, which would be a 0.43 kiloton bomb.

Already got trapped in far orbit because of two hydrazine thrusters on a large rover. Side note, put a hydra thruster on a platform with a beacon and lots of fuel flipped it. Turned thruster on, made a satellite.

Reset so canister on the soil centrifuge and attach a small soil canister to it and then select what you want and it will automatically pull from it to supply the centrifuge

I did some testing on a creative world and 3 hydrogen does a smaller crater than sulfer, if you want to blow a moon up use sulfer and tnt

Look, you could have 9 times as many items on you large shuttle than you have right now. You currently store 64 items but that could be 576 items. Remove the large storage things and replace them with the Large Storage Silo B. Then you have 3 times as much (192 items) but then replace the medium storages with i think they are called storage silos. They store 3 times as much as the medium storages.

Same. I just pave from North beacon to south and back up the other side, hittimg the side beacons along the way then hit the last two then drive a road straight to the core. Can slide all the way down if tethered but it slows down the closer you get to core.
