After some testing, the ST rotation with 1x Chaos Bolt --- 2x Incinerates --- seems to be needing some haste because you end up missing your madness window. so, make sure to: 1. Use 1 incinerate and Conflag between Chaos Bolts 2. (If you have haste procs) you can use 2 Incinerate between Chaos Bolts

Have you tried specing into Cry Havoc instead of Pandemonium? You can use Havoc on bosses to get the Cry Havoc cleave on them from Chaos Bolts. No add necessary.

Correct, we need 40% haste to be able to make CB -> x2 Incin - > CB work, which isnt achievable in current gear. At 4250 haste (25%) an entropy proc is enough to get us there. with a good Ruby Whelp Shell and enough haste you will make that breakpoint as well since a high ilvl ruby whelp shell trained for under red wings will proc for over 3k haste rating. I have not simmed to see if that actually makes it worthwhile over other trinkets though.

Hey, thank you for making this guide, I just recently started playing destro and have been having a rough time with AoE. I did want to ask if the Standard M+ Build you showed in the video was still the best talent setup for AoE in the cases you listed? I was looking at WoWhead build for M+ and it takes talents that weren't taken in the video and I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't a buff to those talents that made them better over the ones that were taken in the video.

I am rolling about 30% haste because historically destro has needed that to perform optimally, but I don't seem to be able to get the damage throughput that you are in aoe. I will try your specs out and see what happens, but do you think I should roll back the haste for mastery? You seem to have more mastery and versatility then I do.

Thanks for the guide, I've been playing demo for quite a while.. and I just never get the FEELING of being powerful like on destro. May it be lower on the dmg meters, it's worth playing because of the fun factor. The most fun I get out of demo is watching the meter go up when NP ended and the pit lord comes in with tyrant , quite bland compared to fat chaos bolts and incinerates.

Also worth min maxing is flashpoint - for example you get a nice haste boost to immolate the birds coming in half way in nokhud (12% haste bump). I wonder if immolating an explosive this week would be too silly for the same reason hah.

maybe i missed it, but another thing to remember is that you conflag (with backdraft) makes the next chaos bolt, incinerate or sould fire 30% faster, so it should be used just before the bolt. the dmg buff lasts 8 seconds but the speed is next cast. just another fun juggle. nice vid though!!

Well done on the video, however I am not really convinced on using Chaos Incarnate vs Grand Warlock's Design. Wouldn't it make more sense to have 2 minutes infernal? I am also not sold on the idea of FnB. I get it, sanguine etc. But when your FnB Incinerate is 3% of your damage (5 targets, 5 minutes) and your RoF is 52%, having a well coordinated group IMHO diminishes the need for FnB. And if you play with the group that you don't know, it doesnt fecking matter, as you will be loosing dmg on your biggest dmg skill anyways...

lo the thing i always dont have enough shards to rof a pack. i just dont. i also have immo up on almost all mobs thats after infernal expire. in between rof to rof cast many times i dont have shards to spend. i know filler is incinerate/conflag havoc but dont kno how come i see most of the destro locks just able to spam nonstop like they dont have shards issue. is there a rule like how many mobs then u rof if not do this or do that or something?

Just honestly immolate, incinerate, and conflag on CD, and ofc making sure you have inferno talent and soul Conduit and good haste

Dude I thought I had destro down but that little tip to use havoc to spread conflagration is smart. And to use it to spread immolates too. In the big aoe packs I like running fire and brimstone because throwing so many flames out my hands and cleaving everything is so fun. But I wouldn’t ever use havoc since I’m already cleaving.

you can buy a book in the auction house or farm it... it will start a questline where you have to go to black temple. It will be take an hour for the whole questline. The item you have to search or to farm calls sealed tome of the lost legion. The price in the AH depends of the server - normaly between 20 -25 k

I'm going to try this build in my runs tonight. I switched from Demo to Destro because I was sick of the pugs I was in not taking care of explosives, and Shadowburn is just too good of a tool for that for me to pass up. I had a really rough time as demo trying to keep insta casts going for the explosive orbs. Been really enjoying Destro so far (First time back to maining lock since Vanilla).

@@mythickall Ah. It's been really nice when I'm with a druid heals for their moonfires and such but most of my pugging has been with a RL friend who heals on Holy Pally which has been a bit rough. Idk if there is a simple way for pally to take care of it, I try to stay closer to melee on lock so orbs don't spawn too far, but still felt like things were going awry. There is a questline for warlocks that was introduced in MoP, which you can start by farming a specific drop in Timeless Isle rare mobs. After you complete the questline, all fire spells on your warlock become green

This might be a gear thing since I'm only 361 right now with no Tier yet (Warlock is my Alt) My Rain of Fire is doing... very low amount of damage overall. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm keeping its activity up nearly 100% of AoE fights with 5+ mobs, and yet its doing less damage than my Incinerate is doing in the same pulls. Rain of Fire is doing an avg. of 2,496 damage. It's barely tickling the things it hits. I'm just not understanding why its hitting like a wet noodle...

It seems like a lot of people are opting for rolling havoc over improved immolate even though improve immolate is simming higher. I think that may be based on mob uptimes as you were saying (if I'm understanding correctly).

@@denisletko578 you can buy the time thing off the AH to get the green fire. Then you unlock it. There is a way to swap back to the red. I’m pretty sure it’s at the same person who gives you the green

Thing is .... Right now you have 3 stacks of flash point.... Soooo much bigger margin of haste that you wouldn't have in dungeons So apparently i believe 1 cb - 1 inc works better
