Love this. Enjoyed the commentary. What I csnt comprehend is why is it in Las Vegas if there isn't a crowd? That must be some serious expense to take part for some of the top women players. I don't get it.

Vegas is extremely affordable to get to whether you are in the USA or abroad. As for a crowd, most of these Finals happen while other events are starting. Most in the room are playing their First or Second round match for the next event. They were watching just not directly behind the board.

The gold event paid for the entire trip to Lakeside. The silver only paid for part of the trip.

The WDF circuit is divided into four types of tournaments; Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The winners of the ‘Bronze’ tournaments qualify for the World Masters, and so do the finalists of the ‘Silver’ tournaments. In the ‘Gold’ and ‘Platinum’ tournaments, 4 players qualify: the semi-finalists.

Winning a Gold Event gets you an automatic berth into the WDF Lakeside World Championships and triple the WDF points onto your ranking. A silver event can get you qualified for the World Masters and double points on your ranking.

She uses One80 Reflex points which are thinner than standard dart points. They make steel tip darts with these tips and also have conversion points that can attach to your soft tip darts.

Tournament atmosphere is way different here in the USA compared to the Europe. Main difference is we pack in our events and don’t have a “finals day”. Most players in the hall are playing in the next event already.

Detas technique is crazy! Her arm must move at least times before she lets go of the arrows!? That cant help stability n throw, but i guess it works for her! Faklon is the only female daets player ive ever seen who gradually got a bit better n better every year, and that's why she gets invites into the mens game, the rest have akwaus stayed at the same level I always saw them at years ago!? Its strange because as genders go physically, their shouldnt be any real significance between men n women in darts really, but i think far more men play darts and from an much earlier age.....thats the real advantage! 🙏

American darts has always been like that weird uncle compared to the UK and Europe. Odd events played in odder venues for low prize money. The old Desert Classic that the PDC ran was better but that fell by the wayside eventually. UK players won't cover their overheads unless they have a decent sponsor.

So many negative and rude comments coming from people that weren’t there to expedience this. Apparently the venue wasn’t that appalling ..Simon Whitlock came back again this year. It’s held in a hotel/casino banquet room that had approximately 80 boards set up and the most people I’ve seen at this particular event since it started. I think they did a great job running this event.

It’s the U.S. the WDF isn’t that big over here. There were two 501 events. The winner of one of those events gets a spot at the lakeside. That’s why they were here. Fallon won both events plus cricket singles.
