Even though this not the right way this is a good workaround, there are many problems associated with the method. 1. This breaks up your duct in the middle and causes problems while resizing your duct and calculating pressure loss. 2. This is acting as a damper accessory so if you create schedules this will be displayed under schedules. This is good if you are using only for modeling purposes, not for practical application, if you actually want duct hangers you can use design to fabrication or you can simply model one where you define the width and middle elevation of duct as a parameter.

Hi Faisal Thanks for Responding .. 1. we can connect the peice with the help of trim tool. 2.if you change the category as generic family than it will not highlight in the schedules or if it is there in the schedules than there are many ways to isolate it from the schedules. i hope u got it Feel free to ask if u have any questions
