I have probe holes in my bullet smoker, but I cannot get the probe through these holes without removing the sillicone tubes on the bend. To be honest I have learnt more about how to use the Inkbird since doing the review and so yes you can set Custom alarms with max-min temperature ranges. It is also possible to just click in the box and enter the value rather than trying to use the fiddly wheel.

Couple of questions on the alarm, when you set the temperature range and it went off, was that on the app or the inkbird? Can you set an alarm so when it gets to a particular temp it sounds an alarm, eg time to wrap a brisket? Also can you set multiple alarms on the same probe, time to wrap, final temp hit etc?
@zgrillsaustralia45414 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the slow reply Matt, when the alarm goes off the actual Inkbird sounds and the phone will provide notification (but not alarm sound on the phone). You can set custom alarm for temp range so will alarm if outside the range, or above specific temp - so yes when to wrap the brisket, like I just did!!

@@zgrillsaustralia4541 Finally took the plunge and ordered one using the code, haven't used it on a cook yet, but found out you can mute the inkbird alarm in the settings so only the app notifies of a temp alert, this is what I wanted as didn't want it going off at some ungodly hour in the backyard, on a long cook. I am trying to monitor (and graph) the temperature in 3 places in the cooling system of my car. I firstly bought the bluetooth version of this device, which was quite good, but I couldn't download the temperature data. I then bought the IBBQ-4T and fitted it to the car. I've been able to download data captured while the car is within range of my home Wi-Fi network (i.e. in the garage), but when I drive the car of course I'm out of range of that network and whilst my phone (iPhone 14) works OK away from home, the IBBQ-4T goes offline and I am unable to capture the data I really want. I suspect I haven't configured the settings on my phone correctly. I'd appreciate help to rectify this.

I can download the app on my iPad but cannot pair the device to the iPad it goes through to 100% but comes up with a fail box. My iPhone 6 Plus cannot download the latest app because you need an iOS13 or higher to download it but the instructions that come with the device state you only need iOS 10 or higher. My internet when it was on cable I had the choice to connect to Telstra 2.4G or 5G but now I have Telstra NBN broadband I cannot see 2.4G or 5G option on my NBN router/modem like I had on my cable router/modem. Currently, I can only see the temps on the device & but I have no wifi access on either my IPhone or IPad. Any assistance would be appreciated - cheers Geoff

I found an easy fix just click on the link - To disable 5GHz band steering open a WEB browser on a device connected to modem and go to 192.168.0.1 (password is Telstra). Go to WiFi settings, then go to 5 GHz band WiFi, remove tick next to band steering and save settings & I was able to pair the device finally to my NBN Telstra broadband on my iPad which had iS0 13.5.

Yes you can set custom temps for the various settings. 170oF is very well done! SMOKE setting gives maximum smoke and has temp swings between about 70oC and 90oC (158~195oF). The fire of course is hotter than 68oC, but the temperature is measured up in the grilling area, not right at the fire.
