Hi, Candice. I've seen a few older movies and TV programmes showing the 'breezeway' but never knew why the kitchen was situated in the other area, so thank you for the explanation. Already had a fairly good idea of the floorplan but it was nice to see it laid out in front of me. Thanks for sharing 👍

Appreciate the floorplans, helps me visualize what's where. Maybe if Jeremy was home more this project would get done faster 😂. Jk. I watch Nug and Adam and the important work they are doing. Here's a laundry room space saving idea. There are washer/dryer combos out where you can wash and dry clothes with the same machine. I haven't looked at any reviews but might be worth checking into. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.

We have a combo washer and dryer in the RV. I hate it! It can hold up to 3 towels. I do laundry nonstop trying to keep up with it. I know some have a little more capacity but it has given me a bad taste for them.

Full size stacking set is an awesome option for small spaces. Just put the dryer on top of the washer.

The explanation of the cabin being a dogtrot house explains why the kitchen is so big, and why it had a porch. They wouldn't have had a dining room, so they probably ate in the kitchen in the winter, and on the porch in the summer. It is amazing what you have accomplished so far. Now the way the house was built originally makes sense. I have been on many older homes growing up. Love the history of them and architecture of them. I live in the north. Houses up here were designed different. Thank you for the explanation on the breezeway. I never understood why kitchens were seperate in the south. The north it was our heat supply. Candice you are doing a fantastic job, looking forward to seeing when the rebuilding of each room happens. I love the big rooms and old wood. This is how the northern houses were big roomed. But I gave up after a while and told myself I wasn't the one going to live in it so I didn't really need to understand the floor plan 😂. But I do appreciate you taking the time to explain it to us. Thanks for the diagram/layout... I would've thought that the downstairs room would've become an office/craft room (no lugging supplies up the stairs) and the 3 bedrooms would've been upstairs (at least while Fi is still young)... Will the downstairs bathroom be a full bath? Tub and shower? Are you planning on adding a shower upstairs also? Are you going to have a door or hallway to the upstairs bath so you don't have to go through your bedroom to access it? I think that's enough questions for now...😊😊😊 Love the progress that you're making!!! Those solar lanterns are super cute!!! Keep grinding!!! 💕💕💕 And tell Jeremy to pick up your mess!!! 😂😂😂

The first room upstairs is open and doesn’t have a door/Privacy, so it works for Jeremy’s office. We don’t want to all hallways, since it will take up space that we do not have to offer. The downstairs bath don’t have room for a shower if we have the washer and dryer in it. Upstairs, the claw foot tub will also have a shower in it. In a couple years we plan on adding onto the cabin. We will add new bedrooms/bathrooms. This all is to just get us by till interest rates get better.

Love your plans but are you sure you want the bathroom on the other end with people walking through your bedroom ? also the dog trot did you consider opening that up with big windows later so you can enjoy the outside. but I am very happy for you and your family keep up the good work love the videos I hope what I said did not up set anyone or your family. Unfortunately, the corner of the kitchen is the only space we can run water easily upstairs. We can’t run pipes through the logs. Also, that last room works best for us that way because of the need to permanently keep the dog out. The cats have to have litter boxes on all levels and the dog loves some kitty tootsie rolls!
