Excellent communication and direct step by step instructions. I have this same model and was conscious attempting without detailed instructions. You have a vest calming voice and the chronograph depiction is excellent. Thank -you!

Thank you. I greatly appreciate how clearly, thoughtfully, and intelligently you presented these instructions. Very well presented. Very clear. Detailed. Excellent. And, in case it helps people to find your video in search results, I will add that in New Zealand (and perhaps elsewhere), the model CS-E9PKR appears to be identical (as far as disassembling for cleaning) as the model in your video.

Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) kzbin.infoUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.

What does the electrical connection(2) have to do with the tray?

Are you asking about why the connections need to be detached? If you don't, you can't take out the whole drain pan to be washed.

Hi good work to see this sharing bro. By any chance you know why I have to bring my remote controller very very near tobthe air cond to on it? Even with a new battery changed. Cheers
@qingmoments
@qingmoments Жыл бұрын
Hi bro, I suppose that would mean the electronic signal is very weak. It could be either the receiver fault (ie fancoil) or transmitter (ie remote control) fault. You can isolate the problem by using another remote control if you have another one. If both controllers have the same problem, it would mean the receiver (ie fancoil unit) is faulty. You can then search for the spare part to see if it is easily changed.

I suppose you need to check whether the connectors (the yellow and white ones) are connected properly.

The button is an on/off button which can be used while servicing, instead of using the remote control.

@qingmoments
@qingmoments 5 ай бұрын
Hi, if you don't detach the wires from the sockets, you can't take out the whole drain pan to be washed. Alternatively, the motors can be detached but they are very difficult to put back. Of course, if it isn't that dirty, the drain pan can just be wiped or brushed clean without taking it out. (but unlikely it is not very dirty).

It's hard for consumers to know how Panasonic code its model names. So, I couldn't find out any info about S9P vs S9N models differences. From the picture that I found from the manuals, they look the same internally. The S9P and S9N models are already old products. Current models on sale have PU9 and WKZ in the names!

Hi Michael, good question. I was mainly covering the more 'difficult' parts of the cleaning process, and I forgot to mention about the cooling fins. I actually didn't clean them when I was doing the video, as they were not very dirty on my units. But they should be cleaned too, by just using a soft brush to clear away the dirt along with a small water sprayer. There are also special Aircon Cleaning Spray that one can buy and to be sprayed on the fins (but I don't find them very effective).

@@qingmoments My unit suddenly produced a terrible fishy smell so I'm busy cleaning the fan & all plastic covers like you showed, but I'm concerned the dirt/smell is from the fins, can I just spray disinfectant or mould killer into the fins & then spray water to flush? Thanks in advance.
@qingmoments
@qingmoments 7 ай бұрын
@@steveandcezannepowell7772 : Yes, you can spray anything.that can be flushed by water. After spraying the disinfectant or.similar types on the cooling fins, wait a few minutes, and then spray water over them to flush them. It is okay not to flush them too as the unit when switched on will collect water condensation and be washed with condensed water automatically too.

@@steveandcezannepowell7772 White vinegar and warm water, with some natural (unless you like the toxic scent in regular dish soap) dish soap is effective at cleaning the fins. Will kill mold / mould and bacteria. Plenty of info online for a DIY recipe, so I won't get into details here.

06:51 My radiator won't move so I can't get the drum out :(
@NickHope
@NickHope 8 ай бұрын
I realised there's a black, foam air/vibration seal between the radiator and the plastic housing at the back. That seal had perished and stuck the radiator in place, so I just needed to wiggle it and pull it really hard. Also, because that seal had previously not been put back in correctly when someone else serviced the unit, so it was sticking out and the drum/fan was flicking on it (which was the reason I was disassembling the unit). I just ripped off the perished parts, cleaned everything and reassembled the unit. Seems OK. My top tip is to smear a bit of silicone grease in the end of the rubber drainage hose (if it's fitted at the right end). Makes it so much easier to reassamble, as the plastic tube slides back into the hose. Also, if your unit is nearly against the ceiling and you can't reach the 3 latches at the top, but some grease on those too, so that they assemble/disassemble more easily. p.s. These Panasonic units are very poorly designed. Mitsubishi better (I'm a design engineer).

I would think so. Trace the cables from the tray motors. There should be only two that are attached to the circuit board.
