Hi folks, thank you so much for helping me hit 1000 subs in 1 week!! I am bowled over by the support. This is definitely a longer episode than will be typical! The build took a really long time, the detailing timelapse by itself is based on 2.5 hours of footage! Let me know in the comments what your ideal length of video is for a Cities let's play? Anyway, hope you enjoy. I think the cinematics at the end are definitely worth the hours spent on this :)

This is quickly becoming my favorite Cities: Skylines channel. I don't think there's an ideal video length. Obviously, shorter videos are easy to consume, but if your content is entertaining, I'll easily watch a 60-minute video. And you are very entertaining. You have a fantastic way of explaining what you're doing, even when you make mistakes, that is very relatable. It's a perfect mix of C:S content and your own personality, which makes it fun.

Hey Coastal Candy it’s 922am the coffees kicked in and the studio’s quiet and your videos playin in the background whilst I work on some animation, Ears pricked up when ya mentioned parks, great to c ya manipulating those parks always gives it a more parkfective appearance I’m guessing your Colossal Costline design is Uk based, very interesting, I felt sorry for those folks taking a long rest in the cemetery so close to the cliffs edge, but then again even ghosts must love goin for a swim on a hot summers morning. Those new quay networks with the steps are just a joyous addition. Like the bridge over the quay I can imagine the time took trying to get that to work, I’m gonna have to look into that when I start using mods in my series, anyways loved it, coastal detailing is my fave and anytime we can actually get a pier/,ferry stop, marina to actually be at the correct height level for Candyites to board a boat soggy sock free is a winne, love having the street car along the coastline and having the turn around right on the quay line great job

Well, I think we can safely say that was clearly a lot of hours well spent! Amazing. You do need to do a bit more work on the quays around the ferry stop though. @Nihilianth Жыл бұрын
@@fewcandy oh, no. Yeah, you were talking about a single lane road. US Americans call them "1 lane," "2 lane," "3 lane" roads, etc. You apparently call them "1 unit, 2 unit, 3 unit," etc roads. When you called it a "1 unit road," I thought you meant "1 way road." I was the one mistaken. In American English, you meant "1 lane road." The "1 unit road" threw me off. 🙃

My retrospective tip would be go to 51:25 of the video, create back yard gates and paths for instant access to the waterfront, from my experience the back door and entrance is treated more as the front entrance when you have a beach property facing the other way we like to walk up to our house from beach side and what’s better than opening you door and looking out to a Candyfied coast

This video was (as you said) a long one, but it needed to be as it was establishing some fairly major foundational "things". I think that the video length should be as long or as short as the stuff you have filmed for that episode. If not much happened, do a shorter video, if a lot happened do a longer video. Personally I watch videos from 20min up to 50min and occasionally longer ones, however I may not watch them all in one go. P.S. I discovered your channel yesterday and I am up to episode 3 already. I will have caught up by the weekend.
