📌 Pilot Program to Resume Renewal of H-1B Nonimmigrant Visas in the United States 📌 The program will begin accepting applications on January 29, 2024. 📌 The pilot program will be limited to eligible foreign nationals who received an H-1B visa from (1) a U.S. consulate in India between February 1, 2021, and September 30, 2021, or (2) a U.S. consulate in Canada between January 1, 2020 and April 1, 2023. 📌 The pilot will be limited to 20,000 H-1B visa applications in total. Could you please explain me 11 point “period of authorized in H1B status has not expired” it’s mean the H1B visa expiration date on passport should not be expired?

I had a Dropbox appointment for H1B renewal in Canada that was refused and I was asked to schedule an interview. I still haven't scheduled the interview yet. Will I be eligible for the pilot?

Pilot program is limited to eligible individuals who obtained their H-1B visa from (1) consulate in India between Feb 1, 2021 and Sept 30, 2021 or (2) consulate in Canada between Jan 1, 2020 and Apr 1, 2023. If you have your previous stamping on these dates/location along with their other conditions,you can try… In DS 160 application you have to mention about your refusal, check it.

May be it sounds like a stupid question but in the eligibility questioner, it is asking for "Period of authorized admission in H-1B status has not expired" My initial H1B is valid until 09/30/2023 (Based on I94) and my H1 extension got approved and got a new I94 which is valid from 10/01/2023 to 09/30/2026. Considering this I believe my authorized admission isn't expired right?

Authorized period of stay is the time the USCIS has allowed an alien to stay in the U.S. even though the date on the I-94 card has passed, since your extension was approved, you are good and the same scenario applies to many people.
