In both English and Korean choices. Both nailed this. Probably because their acting was so good in this scene. Like nobody expected to get so attached to a character in a such a short time only to be devastated. Jo Yeong was such an enjoyable character for like 15 minutes of screen time. And almost everyone wanted Sae Byeok to win.

I cried so much when she died.. what a sacrifice. Let’s imagine them both going to Jeju Island with Sae-Byeok’s family 🍸 :”(

5:02 The signifance of Jiyeong's last words were moreso, "Thanks for choosing me." It's something someone would say when no one else wanted to play with them.

When I watch this scene I almost cryjng like hell though I manage to hold back my tears but this is still tearjerker. Shes unlike other players who will risk their partners to survive, she risk herself just so sae byouk can get out alive. Also I came here back after 2 years just so I can find a reason to cry in midnight lol

1:56 "I thought it'd be better here." "So? Is it better?" Scene cuts off That's actually a pretty risky dialog and a big statement against South Korean politics the writers made there. Those who flee from the north to the south are sometimes really disappointed of the country they fled to. They think a new beginning in South Korea would be much better but it's a facts that it's the most suicidal industrial country of the world, social and economical pressure are really high, it has a terrible health care system etc. So residents are being treated awful but refugees go through an even worse process needless to say. Therefore sometimes refugees from the north wanna go back again but they can't. Not because North Korea wouldn't take them back, but because South Korea won't let them. There is even a specific South Korean law that says "you can't say anything positive about North Korea in out country". Therefore this scene of Sae-Byeok answering the question off screen was a pretty ballsy move by the writers.

Nice loophole of them phrasing it as a question so it wouldn't be censored.

As awful as S. Korea is, at least you don’t get executed for breaking a picture of the leaders of the country.

Oh I would like to get one thing straight. Health care is pretty good and cheap and super efficient. I wont deny both south and north Korea achieved each dystopia under the influence of America and Soviet Union. Korea and Japan are rivals when it comes to suicude rates, and recently Korea is kicking Japans ass. It probably has to do with the mentality of Asians. So competitive mindset and you cant get away from social pressure. But I can not compjain about Korea's health system. I came across a utub video, a woman that is from N.Z. She says she used to just suck up when she had a minir cold back in NZ, but niw she goes to hospital very often without worrying about money. Actually life expactancy is quite high in both countries, as long as you do not commit suicide 😅

공공연히(so that other people can hear it)북한을 찬양하는것. 김일성이나 김정은을 찬양하는것을 금지하는 국가보안법은 남한과 북한이 경쟁하던 시절에 만들어진 법입니다. National security law.(국가보안법).

Like almost everybody else, this was the first place I saw Lee Yoomi. However, I did not really fall in love with her until she played psychopathic Lee Nayeon in All of Us Are Dead. Just then, I realized how cute she is!! She's such a great actress, too, Yoomi is so precious!!
