It sure is a deep machine.... I'm still waiting to come across a nice big item to prove it fully, it's a very good deep searching machine indeed, I have trust in it to find the deep stuff when the coil goes over it...... Good explanation video 👍

Great video and great english. thanks for making it very informative. But why would you not leave detector in "all metal" mode if, lets say you were relic detecting?

Hi Fred and sorry for my late reply, it's only now when I saw your comment. Most of the people simply do not want to dig everything. This is why they prefer discrimination to be active. I made the video considering that. However, if a target is really deep, it will sound as non-ferrous even if it is iron. This happens with all detectors, no matter the brand, model or kind. So few people know and understand that no detector on this planet is able to provide discrimination for the really deep targets (and, actually, this is a really good thing because goodies are, many times, deep and they are goodies even if they are ferrous - e.g. a sword, a helmet, a shield etc.). Coming back to All Metal setting, well, there are two All Metal settings on the Relic Striker. One is a knob and the other one is a switch. When using the knob in All Metal, the Relic Striker will behave just as any other VLF metal detector in the All Metal mode, only the Relic Striker is, anyway, way deeper than any other VLF metal detector. When using the switch in All Metal (and when all other settings other than manual ground balance do not matter anymore), it behaves like a PI metal detector and that is a completely different story that I yet have to tell :)

Read the user manual. It includes a method exactly for this situation.
