And just like that, I'm watching L.A. Confidential again.

Seems like that the multi-page player's handbook which contains all the cases is a perfect candidate for using seperate folders instead of a book, ala 'Mechs vs Minions'. A single handbook is perhaps the best way to go when there are many cases (ala 'Betrayal at the House on the Hill'), but with less than 10 cases, then putting each in its own folder is a surer way of preventing "accidental" peeking while at the same time amping-up the suspense for future cases.

the thing is, each investigator gets their own copy of the handbook, so if each case had a seperate folder, that's be 40 different folders to keep straight! :)

Thanks for the reply! Hmmm... I wonder if each player's handbook is different from one another (other than the Chisel's handbook, of course)? If each player's handbook is the same, then couldn't all the documents (i.e., pages which currently make up the handbook) for each case be put into the same folder? Again, ala 'Mechs vs Minions', when faced with a new case, the players would open the appropriate case folder (one folder only), which would contain enough documents for each of the Detectives (which again, would in essence be the same as the pages currently printed in the Player's Handbook). This way, each Detective gets their own "handbook" documents for the case, but only one folder is used. Plus, the folder for the next case remains sealed, preventing any accidental peeking. Am only thinking out loud, as I haven't played the game yet!

you mean actual folders containing individual case sheets? i suppose, though that would be a pretty non-standard way of packagaing the game and might drive up costs? no idea, just a guess

I'm thinking of playing as the chisel after running through each mission coop style. Do you think this is something possible/fun to do with this game?
@rahdo7 жыл бұрын
yes, and in fact, it will make you a better chisel

Have you tried coop with Jen?

Rahdo, could you please start making longer first parts? Lately more and more often I've been noticing large chunks of gameplay only being present in the extended, and this one is an extreme case - the first part alone is essentially useless for learning about the game, since you showed so little of the gameplay.

actually i made the split here because i thought it was fun to have a 'cliffhanger'. tbh most people don't watch longer than the first 10 or 15 minutes, which is why i try to make the intros around 20-30 minutes

Portal Games is putting out the detective game your talking about. It will have an integrated app that will be required to play. From my understanding, this game and the Portal Games game are very different.

I have to say, the actual game look does not followup well with the very compelling noir box art.
