Underrated case imo, out of the first 2 seasons there's others that stand out more like the bandaged man or the sonata but this one is really good. You asked if there were clues that pointed to him, previous episode they actually showed all of them drinking the coffee and you can see him suddenly stopping before drinking, little nice touch.

Actually that's an anime flaw. The original manga made it that he simply repositioned the cup or the spoon. It makes sense when you think about it, how would him not drinking go unnoticed? The cup would still be full and he'd have no way to get rid of the coffee without being noticed. Why they changed that in the anime I'll never know.

@@jamesmuise2499 I guess they wanted to make it noticeable for the viewer thinking it would be cool, else why would they show a frame of everyone drinking it except him, they thought it was cool and they ran with it, I thought it was cool too until you made me noticed the logic hole it caused 😂 I started reading the manga when I caught up with the anime so I never knew, my bad there.

I noticed in a lot of the murder case episodes, you’re like “man I hate this dude” when you find out who the killer is but when you find out why they did it, and if the murder seemed...justified (for lack of a better way of putting it), you’re like “I’m on the killer’s side with this one”. 😅
