This is not technically a bunker but rather a "dug-in fire control station". It was built in 1943 by the US Army Corps of Engineers and served Battery Paul D Bunker at Fort MacArthur/White Point Military Reservation. The way you entered the building was originally the observation window but it was buried in the 1990s to prevent access. As others have said, this is a common find throughout the west coast. Over here in New England, we have towers and cottages rather than dug-in stations. Bro if you ever find yourself in New England I would love to show you around some of our WWII structures. You just got a new subscriber. Keep it up

They are everywhere in The Marin Headlands and SF

I love exploring the headlands, it's funny thinking g about the fact a secret nuclear missile silo was literally two miles from SF.

How dare you guys to find the secret tunnel in Santa Anita Canyon. It’s below the concrete dam on the left-hand side as you walk up. The doors are so big you could drive a jeep in there.
@DetectiveMat8 ай бұрын
Just to clarify, we are not there in Santa Anita. Also this is not Dam. This is a small bunker. the way we entered is the only way in. They sealed the hatch. This is not meant for a car to fit in there. Only soldiers. Also what are the Santa anita tunnels? Is it bad to go there or something?

@@DetectiveMat I love spell check. One word can mess up an entire comment. I meant to say “I dare you…” Reading it now looks provocative to the extreme. My intent was simply to try to match your exciting, adventurous and fun style of exploring. There is a secret and mysterious set of closed, locked steel doors. I haven’t seen them, only heard from a guy that had explored Barley Flats and other middle silo sites in the LA mountains. Keep exploring and posting! Also, cool video. 👍🙂

Again spellcheck: missile, not middle. (I’m not to keep harping on. Spellcheck actually tried to change missile three times while I was rewriting it here in this comment)

Hey just wanted to tell you this is a real WW2 bunker. Everything has been stripped so it does not look like it. If you look up WW2 bunkers in California, there are a lot of them. Staying very educated is important to me when I do these explorations
@julianmalcolm7 ай бұрын
You are wrong. You need to do your research bud. This is a WWII bunker completed in 1943 by USACE. It held two azumith instruments for Battery Paul D Bunker
