pleasantly surprised to find metal covers that manage to keep the emotional content of the originals. Too often metal covers are just the main theme played generically with a generic backdrop of distorted rhythm guitar. But in this case I would say that my impression is that this is an improvement in terms of quality. The drums are great and varied, it preserves the polyphony and dynamics in a great way, and I really like the use of various types of distortion to create different timbres for different guitar tracks. In short, groovy shit.

Another one is when you take lethal damage in the fight with Asriel, your heart/soul breaks as usual, but then comes back together with the message "But it refused" and the battle continues, which could either be taken as the player refusing to lose or the soul literally fusing back together. Toby put a lot of thought into the wording used in Undertale.

Now this may be me looking into it to deeply but am I the only one who sees the symbolism in the cover art. Each of the birds represents Chara and Asriel/Asgore and Flowey. Obviously the forest near the bottom represents Snowdin, the small branches represent the ruins, and the tree in between represents tour decisions that determines who you follow and what ending you get as it happens between Snowdin and the Ruins. Also yes, I get that it makes a face so don't reply with that.

End of one of the worst years ever, and KZbin recommends this old friend, I have spent so much time listening to this, blue and purple sides, these songs helped me through a lot. Undertale as a game and the community (most of it) around it helped me a lot. So coming back to this, it was a nice bit of nostalgia. Only complaint would be it isn't on vinyl XD
