Why is the angle at R Theta as-well? Can anyone help me ?

The force he labeled as r is perpendicular to the bar. if you draw a vertical line down from the bar it creates a right triangle with theta where the bar is at the wall. if theta is 30 degrees than the angle from essentially where the roller is down and the bar makes 60 degrees. Now looking at the force r we have that perpendicular relationship with the force and the bar. that makes the angle at R 90-60=30.
