Hey all! 🎵 After another 4 months of working on another super collab, we present The One They Call the Witch / Daughter of the Dark God from Octopath Traveler for the 6th anniversary! 🔥🎉 After making both the Bravely Default final boss themes, I thought by myself: "Which song could be next?" Cause those songs are basically the most insane video game songs ever composed... lol. However; a few more epic banger Final Boss themes came to mind, and this one seemed fitting to tackle first! The thing that worried me was having a singer that could match the original's insane opera vocals, but Gico Sop was well up to that task. Special shoutout to her! 🎤 And yes! The plan is to keep going as a collective covering the coolest Final Boss themes. More are definitely coming! 🎼 We hope you enjoy this one, and see you at the next one! Congratulations, an amazing cover of the suite and the transition between the two phases was really good! The vocalist gave me the chills, her ghastly and witchy appearance and her lyric voice gave the idea she straight came out of the Phantom of the Opera. I recommend as other cool final boss themes: "The Seal is Broken" from Blue Dragon and "Rise of the White Raven", "Ultima", "Heroes" and the others from Final Fantasy XIV

When I started this and it was a higher pitch than the original, I was very very curious how the opera singing soloist would sound and it’s INSANE how high she was able to get. Amazing composition! I would absolutely LOVE if you planned a version for Tytos Boss Theme (or even the Wealth, Power, and Fame bosses as a big medley) from CotC.

It always makes me happy to see the Octopath 1 soundtrack getting the love that it deserves, especially the bossfight tracks. Watching this really made my day, you guys did a great job! You should consider doing They Who Govern Reason or Decisive Battle II next, you can never go wrong with more octopath music. btw where did you get the lyrics from? I’ve been trying to look for accurate lyrics for ages but the only ones I can find are unofficial interpretations
