I used Place-It back in 2020 when I first started out and had no design skills. For me it wasn't just the T-shirt designer that helped. As a newbie in the whole art thing, I learned a lot about overall design theories and concepts simply by studying their catalog of designs. I also learned a lot by studying the elements that they had available for me to swap out in any particular design--what all they had that had the general vibe of the default. I don't use Place-It now because I can do it all on my own in Affinity, but Place-It was a great place for a newbie to start.

Finally getting to this video. So glad I did. I use PlaceIt mockups sometimes for my store and for my clients but I've never used the t-shirt designer. Thanks again for the tip. That was fun (and quick!)

Yeah I use place more than any other paid tool I own. Mock ups, t shirt designs, Instagram post templates, and logo maker. My marketing strategy uses place it quite often as well!

Hi Juna, I use Placeit for mixing up my mockups when i get tired of the same old Etsy mockups. I stumbled upon their t-shirt designer and made a few test designs. They have cute clip art to incorporate. It’s a good tool to have in your design arsenal.
@DetourShirts2 жыл бұрын

Question ... why does "My Dounloads" page only offer 72 dpi ? What do we do to make them 300 dpi ? Thanks :)
@DetourShirts2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what DPI mine is but when I zoom in it's not pixelated and it uploaded to Merch just fine... so I wouldn't worry about it.

Hello Juna! I need your expertise on something. I have a band and I want to create t-shirts from our CD covers, but when I upload them to printful, the colors don't look as good as they look on the CD booklet (paper). What can I do to make the colors on the shirt look as vivid as they look on paper?
@DetourShirts2 жыл бұрын
It could be a few different things...Your monitor may not be calibrated... If you scanned the CD covers or taken a picture of the CD covers it could have lost brightness.... I would get the original file you used for your CD cover and use the same CMYK colors... they may not look as good on screen but you could do a test run with one and see how it actually prints on a shirt.

@Detour Shirts Hey Juna, thanks for the great video man. Question, what is your workflow to create the same design for different platforms that require different pixel sizes? Can I use the Amazon 4500x5400 for say Redbubble and Etsy or do I have to create multiple versions of my designs, which would be a waste of time to be honest? What say you? Thanks again
@DetourShirts2 жыл бұрын
Great question...Yes... I used to use 4500x5400 for all POD sites for t-shirts and most products... but there are some products on RedBubble that don't work well with that size.... I think I will probably increase size now that we have this tool so that I can use it on more products on RedBubble.

Hmmmm.... I don't know the rules for Fiverr but I would guess you will really need to change it up for Fiverr.. but it would seem wrong for shutterstock.
