Fun fact: At 4:26, the SWAT unit looks at the dead body Connor inspected and signals that he's dead, however if the player chose to ignore Daniel's order and apply the tourniquet, the SWAT unit would have signaled that he's still alive, the amount of detail put in this game is insane.

That later encounter is also great because the game remembers whether you died or not, if Connor never died (the best for "maximum software instability" and deviant play) Connor will have some sort of emotional response to since that exact model will remember it as a native memory.

First off, Connor could have cemented in his lie about the gun by saying that androids are prohibited from using, let alone carrying, firearms (which, in this universe, is true). Also, there was no simulation that indicated Connor knowing for sure that the girl wouldn't fall. It was a HUGE risk to shoot the deviant, who was holding the girl ON THE EDGE OF THE ROOF. Connor had to have gone through different simulations of statistical strategy for success, like in every other aspect of his combat in the game. But for whatever reason, the game developers decided to overlook that. It doesn't make sense with Connor's determination to stop the deviant and save the girl. He was merely acting on what he saw, instead of using his superior internal technology to calculate the best move with minimal risk of losing the mission.

I think this is where your choices comes in. Depending on the choices you will make, his instability will either increase and decrease. Your choices that deviates from the statistical view of Connor's system is what makes him more prone to being a deviant. That's why each of your choices matter whether he can turn into a deviant or stay a machine. That's it, you're RA9! xD

I just played this part personally Honor and all that wouldnt matter to me in that situation all that mattered was saving the life of the hostage at any cost Daniel already murdered the girls father and multiple police officers in cold blood after he snapped. He was unpredictable espically since he wanted a car and planning to letting her go afterwards which is a risk i would never take. Leading him on into a false sense of security then putting him down the secound he lets his gaurd down and the girl go was the most effective option

I finally played the game i see why people love it this first misson was so intense. I chose this path. Keeping the gun and using it after getting Daniel to lower his gaurd enough that he lets the hostage go before he can react to your betrayal. Is the most effective and clean way to deal with the situation. Any other way would have complicated things all that mattered was saving the girl at any cost. Also the way conner hands over the gun after shooting Daniel was so badass
