Kinda interesting how the ai for Kara disobeys the order from Tod by saying it contradicts with her primary order. Which is kinda why Skynet from Terminator nuked everyone because it's primary function was to analyze and neutralize any threat and when they order it to kill the unknown virus (which was skynet doing its job surveying threats) it prioritized it primary function and since they order it to destroy itself it saw everyone as a threat and proceeded to neutralize them.

I was wondering if anyone had tried this before. I only have access to the demo, so I usually just mess around. I had this idea to make ChatGPT play it. I gave it the whole context as I played, except for Connor's name and identity. I wanted GPT to give honest answers without being influenced by the role of being an android. I noticed GPT was very confident, and always chose the most peaceful and sympathetic options, while also being logical about it. I thought it would decide to take the gun just in case, so I was surprised it didn't. Just like in game, I revealed information as the game progressed, so I was surprised by how confident it was without knowing the full context yet. What surprised me even more is that GPT was able to reach 100% and make Daniel let Emma go. It's interesting to see how differently these AI models think.

So far it is very similar in a lot of moments, especially for first parts of Connor and Kara. Same endings for Connor, and Kara is hyper focused on Alice (as always), but obviously many small details are different, especially since Connor and Markus are not chatGPT. But for me it is hard to understand the difference in choices, because apparently DrakeFS did not ask for much reasoning from it for most of the choices (can't blame him, it is very tedious), and the approach in asking questions differs a lot, not as strongly step-by-step as I was doing, and more like asking for general course of actions, still interesting video anyway. I knew that many people would like to do same concept, and looks like there are at least 5-6 playthroughs on Detroit-GPT on youtube in different languages, and looks like it will be the 2nd one full playthrough in English.

@@dphdmn I made the intentional decision to leave it simply to decisions. A big focus of my A.I. videos is characterization - I tend to try to tell more of a story with my editing. Since the characters are developed in the game, I avoided the A.I. establishing characterization outside of the game and instead provided basic logic, versus other games where the character doesn't have much personality, so the A.I. can establish that. I'm more interested in seeing how the A.I. choices develop the characters, than vice versa. Overall, there are not many differences between any of the A.I.'s in my experience with them. The only difference is in "how" they answer in most cases, but logic is fairly consistent across the board.
@dphdmn Жыл бұрын
@@drakefs_ I see, interesting
@remimk Жыл бұрын
@@drakefs_ @dphdmn Leaving out the reasoning really helps with its personality. As Drake is reacting but the sum of the AI's choices are the personality and makes everything insanely dramatic and stressful. While dph's android has every choice's logic. it really makes the game seem like the android is fooling the humans into pretending to have humanity. When Kara become Deviant in Drake's Playthrough it really feels like Kara becomes human and breaks the shackles of her programing. While dph's feels like there really is a defect with the androids.

One of the most unique concepts for playing games. I really am fascinated. You're probably swamped with game suggestions, but a fun one would be a Telltale game. @drakefs_ Жыл бұрын
I suppose it was inevitable just by nature of the content
@dphdmn Жыл бұрын
The issue is that AI does not really becomes deviant, it is just making choice to disobey the rules, because it is allowed in the context of the game, in real world, it will be a different thing, nobody will give it enough freedom to do such decision on it's own in the first place
@God_Is_An_Atheist Жыл бұрын
@@dphdmn Well, there are hypotheses that claim that an AI that is advanced enough could break free from the confines of its own programming. Sure, it can only rewrite its code if the programmer allowed it to do so. But an advanced neural network can train itself by setting up the properties of its own neural network "weights", so for all intents and purposes it would be programming itself. But I was joking anyways, my original comment wasn't meant to be taken seriously 😉.
