In this episode of “What Happens If” we see the many possible futures that could become true if Markus decides to trust, or not trust Connor.
PS : I definitely had a boat load of fun stitching the various scenes together to hopefully tell a cohesive story.
PPS : For those who don’t like this type of editing and who just want to see the scene plainly this is not the place to be. Thankfully for those people there are plenty of places that have the vanilla version of the scene. I just wanted to add a little sprinkle of variety into the vanilla.

I've been wondering that myself but am having a hard time trying to get that situation to come about. Having to cause the relationship between Hank & Connor be hostile in order lead to Hank suiciding seems to cause the ability for Connor to become deviant to be locked while he's facing off against either North or Markus in the Jericho freighter. If there's a way to make Hank not appear when Connor infiltrates the cyberlife tower, I haven't found it yet. I need help! XD If there is a viewer out there that knows how to do this please comment below!

Night of the Soul for Connor is kinda the telltale sign that Hank can't die even if Connor goes Deviant with a hostile relationship with Hank. Connor purposefully needs to access that act in order for him to shoot himself, otherwise they won't kill him off.

Cheng Teoh My dad did it in his first play. I could not believe it when I saw that. 1. First, you need to make the relationship with Hank very bad in their first meeting. 2. Then, you need to fail to find the first deviant by answering all the questions of Hank wrongly. 3. choose to chase the second deviant who loves birds. 4. Shoot the deviant in Eden club 5. Make Hank shoot Connor 6. Find the black deviant in TV station but don't chase him after you find it 7. Don't shoot the android of Kamski 8. Increase the software instability as much as possible when Connor is facing Markus Remark: Try to keep the relationship with Hank hostile through the conversation with him but increase software instability in the conversation with Kamski and Amanda (sometimes Hank) Hope this can help you

He comes back and that particular Connor can choose to shoot or not shoot Marcus on the roof or in a crowd or if Marcus is a particularly violent Marcus he can actually hunt him down into the Cyber live store and shoot or not shoot him there. I usually go the route that Connor is still a deviant at heart and he doesn't shoot him on the rooftop and he doesn't shoot him in the crowd after the speech I usually go with a peaceful Marcus if I'm going to do this because I want the scene where Connor gets a chance to deviate again. Because when he's in the crowd and he can shoot or not shoot Marcus on the stage then he is back in the Zen garden and Amanda tries to take control and he can lose her control and decide to spare Marcus. if he's a machine machine all the way through he can decide to spare Marcus no matter what it's your choice and unless you're a particularly violent and angry about the whole thing you don't have to shoot Markus. but also a note if Marcus is dead or had to leave Jericho for some reason that bitch North will always detonate a dirty bomb so always kill her if you decide the machine all the way through..unlike Marcus if you spare him he doesn't detonate the dirty bomb or I guess you have a choice whether to detonate it or not. And that case sometimes I do spare Markus and then let him detonate of course my Connor isn't a bad position with a dirty bomb then he doesn't have anybody to report back to I guess but he still has to slip that Amanda AI .

Viktoria Szałata Viktoria Szałata Probably struggling with his emotions. He was designed to accomplish tasks that other people programmed him to do (basically made to be a puppet and to be used). That alone is enough to make anyone, including androids, feel empty, sad, and scared. Plus, we don’t know if Hank had survived or not before this scene. So, Connor could potentially have nothing left to live for while he’s about to be shot. Markus doesn’t trust him, which will effectively cause the rest of Jericho to not as well. And if Jericho doesn’t trust him, then him becoming a deviant has made his life useless already. If Hank is also gone, then Connor truly has nothing to live for, considering he’s basically the only human that he’s bonded with in all of his journey. It’s known to the player that androids can feel hopelessness, sadness, fear, etc. The deviated android that you first interrogate is brought up by Connor to Amanda, if you choose the dialogue option for it, as having showed signs of PTSD after being abused by its owner. If Alice dies at the end of the game by the river, Kara will hold her in her arms and you have a choose to have her commit suicide. So, it’s not ridiculous to think that Connor could also be feeling these emotions in that moment and the moments leading up to it.

When fake Connor realises that he failed his mission it always makes me so emotional. He shows fear - a human emotion. He seems so vulnerable, in that scene he almost feels like our real Connor. sadly, since he failed his mission, he was most likely deactivated and analyzed to find out why he failed - like what our Connor was afraid of happening to _him_ I think by the end of the game, especially in the deviant!Connor route, the main reason he wants to finish the mission is cause he's subconsciously afraid of dying. Despite telling Hank he'd only "find it regrettable" at best, he shows genuine fear when he feels Simon shoot himself.

When I played this section in my second playthrough, I was hoping that if you don’t trust Connor he would just not go to the tower and you would get an alternate path where Connor helps Markus at the Revolution and redeems himself. If you are talking about the fight with Markus, you'll need to keep Connor a machine and for Markus to choose the Revolution path. The one with North & Markus walking out and getting shot has several requirements - 1) you need to have Markus' relationship status with North to be Lover, 2) when the revolution with Markus starts and he charges the attack, reach the first barrier and don't move ... it'll take a little more than 8ish minutes of waiting for the percentage of success to reach 0%, once that happens it'll trigger the scene where North & Markus fall back into the store.

Now that's an interesting question, I haven't chosen that particular scenario but if I were to guess Connor would still be chasing North and have the opportunity to shoot her if she has to arm the detonator. But that's just a guess.

I recently found an interesting tender non-verbal moment where North died being shot by a drone and Markus just went over to her while on the battlefield and gave her a kiss then continued on to the next barrier before the one that leads to him being hit by an explosion.

The only who really cares about Connor is Hank (even though he's mean to Connor most of the time^^)... but just only when their relationship goes well. Hmm... You need to have had original Connor convert the android instead of either going towards new Connor or saving Hank, then after new Connor shoots you a couple of more times, don't do anything, DO not transfer, shoot or stand up and when the time passes that should happen.

I know it isn't in the endings, but I wonder what would happen if Connor decided not to go to the Cyberlife Tower? (And I don't mean he remains a machine, I mean in the specific case of him being a deviant) I could see a really interesting opportunity with that, not just with Connor but with Hank as well. Maybe instead of being part of the freeing thousands of androids subplot, they could participate in the Demonstration/Revolution. It could help solve some of the big issues with Detroit: Become Human being that there are no human protesters, and all Androids become Deviants, but perhaps the second Connor could discuss the morality of remaining a machine, and refusing to join the Revolution, and Hank could become a human protester for the Androids. And though he does clearly side with Deviants, we never actually see him march with them or fight with them. I think the Revolution route would also be interesting, it could perhaps effect how willing Hank is go out there and fight. I could see a more grim and dark version of Hank who ends up fighting for the Androids because he believes they're the only lives worth saving because of what happened with his son. Plus, even though it's the violent route, I love the idea of Hank and Connor fighting the humans together for their own different reasons. Connor, for his abuse and use as a tool to do Cyberlife's dirty work, and Hank for his lack of faith in humanity. They could easily turn the tide of the battle... It would also be really wholesome if Connor and Hank sung with the Deviants during the Demonstration. Also, in the event that Markus dies/leaves and Connor assumes role of leading the Deviants, he wouldn't commit suicide this time as Hank would be there with him to help him through it. And the idea of Connor or even Hank giving the speech at the end warms my heart. If you've read all this and are wondering why I posted all this, it's because I'm bored. 2020 sucks. :(
