It was 14 years ago that the Lions got a QB very much like your current QB. In fact, I called Stafford "The Gunner" for years and upon seeing Herbert I actually gave him the nickname "The Gunner 2.0" and you're welcome to use it on him - it totally fits. So here is the issue... The Gunner took ten years to realize his amazing arm gets him into as much trouble as it does get him out of trouble... Pulling back and throwing a ball away or taking a sack is preferred over most turn overs (4th down long pass that acts like a punt if it's picked by a DB and quickly tackled - that's fine). You're very lucky to have a QB with such an arm... The sooner he learns to play like Goff - the better your entire football team will be. That said, please wait until AFTER playing the Lions before he starts to "take care of the football" 🤣 Have him throw the ball to Kerby Joseph on Sunday !

@@jameswagner2116 Hey James - I just looked up Herberts stats because I was surprised to hear he's taking care of the football. You are NOT wrong! 4 interceptions and 13 TDs - that's dang good 😊. Maybe I got the impression from his rookie year or was just flat out wrong... I know this - his arm is amazing and one of the best in the league... That I can tell :) Crazy to say this but I'm not worried about any pass rusher in this entire league... Whoever Penei Sewell is blocking might as well take the pass rush day off 😎 (knock on wood 🪵!). And on the other end is Taylor Decker - it's quite rare that he allows pressure. And now that the three boys in between them are healthy again - it's just gonna be a long and frustrating day for that "great defensive line" (I don't question how good they are - I just have total confidence they can't perform well against that Detroit Offensive Line) Micah Parsons, Bosas, Crosby and a few other great defensive line guys have been unsuccessful against this Lions line. One large Knock on Wood 🪵 !! Haha BTW I was such a Chargers fan when I first started watching football - they had Dan Fouts, Wes Chandler, Charlie Joiner and Kellon Winslow! Man that was a super fun team to watch!
