I've been in sports journalism for 27 years (editing, design for print, design for web and on an IT side), and so I remember Justin popping up all of a sudden helping Killer and Co cover games (and provide really awesome, technologically-modern takes on storylines) way back in the day during peak SOL. I've been watching you your whole career, man, and you've always been just an excellent journalist who covers the Lions honestly and thoroughly. You persevered so professionally and relentlessly over a long time to capture that interview with Spielman, and damn isn't that what the truth demands? (And lowkey, isn't that also what the Lions themselves are all about and why they trust you as a journalist despite not working for the News?) Watch his show after the Lions won their first playoff game against the Rams & you’ll see he no doubt he has the heart of a Lion and really admires this team, AND this community, of which is part. I’d rather have that combined w/real sports coverage experience than your everyday homer hack BS’r who’s never done anything in sports journalism but relies exclusively on their fandom for content.
